Whether any given game is entertaining or not and protecting the integrity of the game are two entirely different subjects.
Flopping is far worse for the integrity of the game as it's meant to cheat the official into giving you a call. Missed FTs are missed FTs, one of the most basic elements of the game. If a poor FT shooter gets the ball inside, many times you foul and force him to make both instead of giving up a layup. Intentionally fouling a 50% or lower FT shooter isn't much different. If you're that bad, you are a liability and it should be exploited by the opponent at times.
I'd actually say shooting a FT like this is worse for the integrity of the game.
No wonder this dude gets intentionally fouled. Is he aiming for the American flag? No one to blame but himself.
