NBA near deal to allow local streaming of home team

I am not sure if this is just a TV deal or if it would be radio too. I love to listen to G-Man sometimes and mute the TV but it's a pain since I don't have a portable radio that plays AM stations. If I could play the radio streams from my computer as I watched the games I would be very happy.

From the article:

...Now, the financial viability of live local streams will be tested, starting soon after the NBA opens its season later this month. The deals will allow people who subscribe to a distributor that carries Fox Sports Net or Comcast SportsNet to log in and watch their local teams’ games via broadband or mobile...

I think they're just talking about TV broadcasts at this point.

I love to listen to G-Man on radio call and got small Sony pocket radio couple years ago with little ear bug attachment for just that purpose. Total cost was less than $15 as I recall purchased at Fry's. Sometimes I have TV on Kings game listening to both audios and it's kinda cool to hear them at same time, although often couple seconds delay from one to the other. Also, great to take the radio and ear plug to hear G-Man at Kings games when I go.

That's some cold war era improvisations...and I like it.

Yah the TV is usually a few seconds behind when I try to do that. Not sure if it's because of DirecTV because I noticed that when watching Comcast it's usually ahead of DirecTV by a few seconds when I have the same channels on. Same with the radio. It's ahead of the TV by about 5-7 seconds.

Satellite (either DirecTV or DishNet) is always a little further behind. Bouncing out of the atmosphere and back stuff, you know? ;)
