Yeah, the Pels getting the top pick as a way of keeping AD surely isn’t sketchy...

Soon as I saw it was between NO and Memphis I knew the Griz had zero chance.

At least they didn’t give the LeBron’s the top pick. They shouldn’t have even landed 4. But the NBA has to NBA.

That trade was nowhere near as bad as some were making it out to be from the get-go. And now? It's meaningless as far as what the Kings do going forward. We've got an incredibly bright future in front of us and Fox and Bagley, not to mention Giles, are gonna be a whole lot of fun to watch.

It's a GREAT time to be a Kings fan.

This is a horrible result for us.. The two top pics going to the western conference and now it will be even harder for us to make the playoffs next year with the Pels and Grizzlies on the rise. This is also bad for the NBA in general, making the west even more crowded...

I’m actually very happy for NOLA. Following what happened to Boogie and then AD trying to superstar them, they deserved it. Especially more than NY and LA!

That tune will change if/when they’re yet another playoff contender in the West, but right now its good vibes

It’s all just a little too fishy but what have we come to expect? This is the same NBA that gifted the Cavs with what 3 #1 picks after Bron left? The Lakers moving up still irks me though no matter how you slice it

It’s even more evident they are going to need to take a closer look at changing the playoff format to eliminate conference play at this point. It’s only right you cannot have 40 win teams picking top 5 it’s absolute nuts

If Zion or a potential AD + Zion pairing doesn't get people to go to games, it may be time to shut down the Pels.

Considering his complete and utter inability to assert himself and relatively nice off the ball shooting stroke and the fact he pretty much plays the exact same position as both Brandon Ingram and Kyle Kuzma, Reddish is pretty much the perfect player for the Lakers to pick in their current quest to become a Maloofian franchise.

Pels still have to deal with the fact AD wants to play with Lebron and is a free agent in the near future (and also they have no fans, which is a huge issue).

The Grizzlies are gonna lose their pick next season, their stud rookie big man is coming off a season-ending injury,
and the pretty much consensus #2 pick plays the same position as their one good player left from the old regime in Mike Conley (with both dudes being too small to play at the two-guard spot). They also have a wacky owner and don't have a coach (have they even started a search yet?).

Not sure if this helps keep AD in New Orleans. It’s not like Zion turns them into a contender or even takes them further out of the tweener purgatory the franchise has long been in, definitely not right away, and they still won’t have a lot of flexibility this offseason. AD opting out still looms over their head so they’ll look to deal him unless he specifically suggests he wants to stay.
