Congratulations to the Mystics for getting the job done and to Alana Beard for putting that team on her back and running with them. Best wishes in the Eastern Conf. playoffs.
I know its heresy to ask...but I think Beard should now get some more serious recognition for rookie of the year honors. The throphy was engraved with Taurasi's name before the draft, but Beard has been insane since July and she's playing much better with more on the line. (Taurasi also has played a gazillion more games than she has too so its understandable if she's got nothing left in the tank now). But I'm just hoping Beard gets more votes and its a little closer.
