Everything Midas turned to gold, but any living thing he touched was dead from that point on. Not sure why the "Midas touch" should ever be thought of as a good thing. In fact, it was more of a "be careful what you wish for" morality tale, which I why I objected so strenuously to the Kings use of it during the era of the gold lamè uniform debacle.

There's NO WAY on earth you can know if this is true or not. DMC is in China. For all we know, they could already have some kind of meeting scheduled for some time after he returns.

This is reckless commentary, IMHO. Things are strained enough already without people jumping right off assumption cliff and into the murky waters of conclusion pond.

DMC hasn't been in China for 3 months.

When Dave, who is super positive, is saying the day after the season ended on April 15 that one of these two men needed to come together and talk to clear up issues between them ... and 3 months later, the same person is saying "they still haven't talked" and they really need to talk and you've got two men that are very stubborn ... I think it's a very fair to think that at some point the coach that's got into pissing contests with many of this star players over the years has thought at least once or twice ... he can call me and/or I'm not going to bend first because I'm in the position of authority.

It's commentary. IMO, it's logical not reckless. Hell, Dave was raising this as a red flag today. With your positive outlook, you might not have seen it as such ... but this is a real thing because as Ziller points out ... DMC and Karl will have dust ups during the season. If that comes on the heels of a summer of "that guy can call me first" and a patch of losses, that's not a good thing.

Particularly for everyone thinking that Vlade and Karl are going to show DMC that things are going to be great here and we've earned his loyalty.

Fair enough. I think Dave was right but I also think there's still hope.

I don't expect them to embrace each other and sing a rousing choru of "Kumbaya" but I do think they both can see the obvious - they can do great things if they work together.

Agreed. Before one them starts flipping chairs over after a 4 game losing streak, it would probably be a good idea for one of them to at least pick up the phone and say: I think we can work together fairly well this year; these are my concerns; this is what I'd like to see more of from you, if possible.

In person is best. If Dave is out ringing the bell on this at the start and near middle of the off-season, if we can't get them in the same room. At some point, pick up the phone for 20 minutes to deflate any POSSIBLE tension and talk more later.

I like your post but you know our crowd on here, we're going to jump every which way no matter what. Every thing being discussed on here is history. Let's just hope that the FO right now is way ahead of us in a good way.

It's been 2 months since the season ended. Most players went on vacation right after. If they aren't talking at summer league then its a problem
