Miller time ... sort of -- With no walking boot to slow him down, center Brad Miller engaged in his first workout Friday since tearing a tendon in his left foot Nov. 4.
Miller moved at a leisurely pace, shooting jumpers from all over the floor in a one-man workout of sorts that appeared pain-free. By all appearances, however, Miller is still weeks away from a return.
Kings swingman John Salmons, who missed the last two games with a right thigh contusion, moved well in his workout. Salmons said he's hoping to play Sunday against San Antonio.
Giving back -- The Kings and Monarchs are hosting an early Thanksgiving dinner for homeless families in need today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Loaves & Fishes, located at 1321 North C St. in Sacramento. Forward Shareef Abdur-Rahim will be on hand, as will rookie guard Quincy Douby.
