Bad news of the week (but not THAT bad): Coach T says DeMya banged her knee up a little in practice today and could be questionable for Friday's game.
Sometimes I wish that the Sports Talk 1140 website would post email addresses for Koz and Krista so that we could let them know what's going on before their show starts. They don't seem to keep up to date on the goings on of the WNBA on their off days. I kind of wish they would have read more of the Debbie Schlussel (sp?) crapola on the air so people could hear more of the venom that she was spewing. And I wish that they would have known about/mentioned the All-Star tallies to date and what they thought about the proposed starting line-up for the 2005 West team. They also weren't aware that the scuffle yesterday at Washington took place between Diana Taurasi and Delisha "Sunshine" Milton-Jones.

I apparently missed why they were even talking about Schlussel's crap on the air. It seems this woman crawls out from under a rock once a season, but I rarely remember her getting much legitimate media time. Was it because KT Christensen made a comment that anybody's even talking about Schlussel's stuff?
That's the only reason Koz actually knew anything about it, so yeah. He was basically saying that it was great that Kayte stood up for her fellow WNBAers. Debbie's just being her usual troll self and spewing ignorant garbage, but a few people in the Merc organization have taken notice and fired back. Christensen did a much better job than the Merc Assistant Coach did, however.
I only heard the last 45 minutes last night and I couldnt pay too much attention do to helping out a second cousin with a broken leg. I caught MBF's call and Michelle whatshername from ESPN.com, formerly of the KC Star. And I caught a bit about Danica Patrick, some article. Im guessing thats what you guys are refferring too.
Probably because they don't pay her enough to make it worth her while to live here in Sacramento.
Listen, I am a WNBA fan. I enjoy the sport, and I enjoy how it makes my long, drawn out summer a little shorter until the NFL starts. But I don't have a clue how to keep up with the day to day doings in the league. I think WNBA.com is an absolute joke. They have the more useless stuff on their site. I didn't even know their was a fight this week. I know that Koz and Krista are paid professionals and should be a little bit more knowledgeable about the inside doing of the league, but let's be real here. When it comes to coverage of the WNBA during the season the pecking order goes like this:
1. Baseball
2. Post Season NBA/Pre Season NFL
3. Golf
4. NASCAR
5. WNBA
So news may not be readly available to them unless they go digging. I think that they both do an absolute wonderful job broadcasting the games. I think that them doing a two hour show once a week dedicated to the WNBA is an extra bonus for the fans, regardless if they seem unprepared or not.

I think we all appreciate the fact that there are two dedicated hours to the Monarchs every week, I love it and usually never miss it. And the wnba.com site IS a joke, which is why I wish there were some way we could send them the interesting tidbits about the league. There is stuff out there, you just have to know where to go. Rebkell's site is a fantastic place for information and conversation about the league. I don't think that Koz & Krista should spend their free time reading the message boards or anything, but it would be nice if 1140 made it easy for us to drop them an email when something actually is going on that the fans are talking about. That way they would already know about it before the show starts, rather than having to look it up while on the air.
I'm not one for calling in, so something like that would be great. I love the show, and I love the guests that they bring in. Always great to hear from K-Law! It was nice hearing from Debbie Arrington last night. Michelle Voepel had some nice things to say about the team, even going as far as saying that Sac might be THE team to beat. She said she actually isn't surprised that the Monarchs are doing so well.
