Anybody have any idea what is going on about this? Another 7 days to place a player on the inactive list.

I agree. Why have an "inactive" player when you've got Brittany Wilkins?

BTW, why hasn't Brittany been playing? Is she truly injured or "injured" (wink wink) like Olympia Scott or Sui Feifei was during most of last season?

Two words why Brittany hasn't been playing...DeMya Walker.

The list is no longer related to injury, its just two roster slots that are interchangable with the active roster. These players can be activated within a certain number of hours before game time, and no longer are required to sit out 3 games if they are placed on "inactive" status.

The Monarchs wrap up the regular season Sunday in Phoenix. To give them a little more cushion, the team signed Chameka Scott to a second seven-day contract Monday.

"She's someone who has practiced with us and knows our system," Whisenant said. "The cost at this point is not that much for another couple weeks."

It appears to be merely a further cheap insurance policy, just in case an active player goes down.
