Goodness gracious was that an ugly game. As ugly as that game in Charlotte sounded. Don't know what it is about the Sting and whatever it was they do that just makes the Monarchs play stupid basketball. 20+ freakin' turnovers?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I mean c'mon now.
They could not make good passes to save their life tonight. And how many times did we see a Monarchs player catch the ball and then drop the ball between their legs to a Sting player.
Nice to see Kara getting her offensive groove going again. Two games in a row for her. Brunson was 3-3 from the floor and that seemed like a good sign to me, she still was a monster on the boards.
Was there any particular reason why Ticha did not finish the game?
Was there any particular reason why this trio of officials #$(ed major wind as much as they did. I'm getting sick of this nearly night after night. Did they fire all the decent refs before the season started? I don't think I've seen a group @ ARCO that I did not yell at from my seat for some stupid mind boggling call. Most of the time the officials are making multiple mind boggling stupid calls. I loved that they wanted to wait until someone got hurt or was about to get hurt before they would call a jump ball.
After this craziness that was the first half of the season for the M's...they find some modicum of consistency and find themselves 4 games over .500 and in 2nd place in the conference.
Now its time to regroup, refocus and get back to work on Saturday and see if they can continue to fight their way back to the top of the conference. Eh...not that I'm going to hold my breath on this, but its a good goal to have nonetheless. They are getting closer to something good. I'm tossing the weirdness of tonight's game out as a fluke related to playing the Sting because its clear that the Sting have some sort of mind control powers which make them forget how to pass and/or catch the ball.
