Mitchell Report.. F.P. Santangelo ??

#1
Has anyone caught the Rise Guys show in the last few days? Has F.P. Santangelo said anything regarding this? At this time I am unable to listen to the show, but I remember F.P. stating he never used anything when people would talk about Bonds, and now he shows up on this report?

Damn.. How is he taking this?

FP is a liar

F.P. Santangelo
F.P. Santangelo played several positions over short stints with four teams in
Major League Baseball between 1995 and 2001, the Montreal Expos, San Francisco Giants,
Los Angeles Dodgers, and Oakland Athletics. He is now a radio broadcaster.
Radomski believed that Santangelo was referred to him by David Segui when
both played for the Expos between 1995 and 1997. Radomski produced one check from
Santangelo dated October 23, 2000 in the amount of $1,400, which Radomski said was payment
for a kit of human growth hormone. A copy of that check is included in the Appendix and is shown below.

Radomski also recalled selling Deca-Durabolin and testosterone to Santangelo
once or twice during 2001 when Santangelo was with the Oakland Athletics. Radomski believed
that Santangelo paid by check. Santangelo’s name, with an address and two telephone numbers,
is listed in the address book seized from Radomski’s residence by federal agents.
Adam Piatt is a former major leaguer who was interviewed during this
investigation. Piatt and Santangelo played together at Oakland’s class AAA affiliate in
Sacramento during the 2002 season. Santangelo provided Piatt with Radomski’s name and cell
phone number in response to an inquiry by Piatt as to where he could get performance enhancing
substances. Santangelo told Piatt that Radomski “will get you what you need.”
In order to provide Santangelo with information about these allegations and to
give him an opportunity to respond, I asked him to meet with me; he declined.

Here are the names listed in the report:

(edited for accuracy; see post #24 for an updated list)

Some may have been left out; in fact, I'm sure some where. David Justice is not on that list, but was named in the report. The bolded names are the ones that stood out the most to me.

This is a sad, sad day for baseball fans. But it was necessary to continue to get rid of illegal performance-enhancing substances in professional sports. We need to have this done in football next. This sucks.

Why didn't you bold Roger Clemens?

He is the most important one on that list being that he is the only one that was a first ballot hall of famer.

It's funny. You would figure that Clemens body would have broke down a bit earlier than he has using illegal substances.

Look at a guy like Eric Gagne. He was atop of his game for a couple years than all of a sudden it was one injury after another. Rick Ankiel is another that boke down. They SAID control issues, but a lot had to do with his body just breaking down.

Peoples' bodies just don't break down like that all of a sudden. I pitched from 8 years old through highschool than played on my buddys summer team for the last four years and have never had a problem with my shoulder/arm/elbow with the exception of minor swelling after throwing hard. Suprised Clemens has not had a Gagne type of injury yet.

FP is douche, he went to my high school and nobody liked him. This does not suprise me.

Funny that another Sacramento guy was on there, Fernando Vina. I knew somebody that dated him and she said he had instances of roid rage and she personally saw him do ecstacy in her presence while he was still playing, so that did not suprise me at all.

Also I cannot believe these morons paid by check!!

I found it odd listening to the Rise Guys this morning that neither Whitey nor Phantom even mentioned F.P.'s name. Normally they say someone is out sick or is on vacation. They acted like the guy was not even or ever a part of the group. That tells me that Santangelo tipped them that this was going to happen.

They have no choice but to fire him!!! His credibility is gone.

Yep, I heard it too. Didn't go into any more detail than that, though.

I wonder when he'll return and what he'll have to say....

I need to listen online at work.. Usually I keep quiet here, but I think it would be funny to see what he has to say about this.

People are still calling him out on that brawl he was involved in like 10 years ago.. He said he was helping protect a player that was getting beat up on by a fan or something. People still bring that stuff up. Callers are probably going to tear him a new one whenever he mentions anythign that has to do with "integrity". LOL. Can't wait.

THIS LIST IS NOT CORRECT.

This is the list that leaked early this morning by WNBC, and it was quickly retracted.
