Minor Trade Idea

At first, I thought this was a trade thread about Harold Miner....

Yeah, trade Hart anywhere that will have him.
 
Jason lost the game for us in Orlando when he fouled Steve Francis in the act of shooting. We could've been 7th seed instead of 8th, and thats not much of a difference but who knows what could have happened
 
I'd much rather give Price a chance than Hart. Coaches and "experts" always mention Price as a good young player. Obviously, most fans (including me) don't know how good he is really, but he's obviously shown something in D-league or practice that makes people speak highly of him (relative to our other scrubs). If we're gonna see what someone can do, let's make it someone who hasn't already proven to us that he sucks.


Basically, I'd be happy to give anyone but Hart a chance to show off under Muss. There's a reason the Bobcats gave him up for a 2nd.. He stinks. Even expansion teams are willing to give him away for free.
 
Yeah, Ronnie was never in teh D-League, but he was quite impressive in one of the summer league games, and his limited minutes shows promise. I'm interested in seeing more of Ronnie, but also in same time, I feel Jason Hart will not play the way he played last year.
 
Have no problem trading Jason Hart away for anything or anybody, including a box of doughnuts.

But you then need to go get another vet as a backup PG. Having Ronnie Price as your answer if Bibby goes down just does not work.
 
Price needs to see more court time, but I can't see him being Bibby's regular backup---at least not yet. We need a solid backup point.

I think we can find another vet that could fill in nicely, ala Bobby Jackson...so...that being said, I would give up Jason Hart for almost nothing at this point...but I dont think I'd want a guy like Calvin Booth, though...we already have our 12th man in Jamal Sampson, why would we want a 12'b'?

Simple solution: BJax for 2 years to groom Price for the future as backup PG. The kid has got the game for it...just isn't quite ready. He'll get there though. I've said before that Price is the 2nd coming of BJax's glory years with the Kings, and there's no one better to learn from than the man you're deemed to replace!

Not so sure about that one...guess we'll have to wait and see how the kid matures...2 years seems like so far away, but it really isnt. I think we sign Jackson to a 3-4 year deal, he doesnt want to play anywhere else or move again...he likes his house here in Sac. Healthy...I think he has 3-4 decent years left in him.
