Minor changes for Grizz..

Commercial Appeal - GM Jerry West was quite candid with the Memphis media on Wednesday, one day after his club was swept by the Mavericks. While he is disappointed with their postseason performance, he is not expecting to make any major moves like he did last summer.

"You can't just go out and make (major) changes every year. Sooner or later, it's not going to work," West said. "There are areas we need to address, and we're going to try and do that."

He would, however, like to add a high-quality rebounder.

West also made clear that he will continue to support and employ head coach Mike Fratello.

get a quality pg; demote sucky atkins to bench; use bobby jackson as he should be: instant offense without play making. and if you can, find a younger version of eddie jones; solid defense coupled with slightly inconsistent offense.

They should trade Mike Miller to Denver for Andre Miller. They'd get their play making point guard and Denver gets a shooter.

Damon Stoudamire is their guy at PG, don't see that changing based on what has gone on with him there so far. Along with this latest statement.

Andre Miller would be a good replacement though.

Andre Miller would probably cost them a lot more than just Mike Miller. Especially after his preformance against the Mavs.

I think Memphis is a good team - Stoudemire had them rolling before his injury. So they're pretty set @ PG. I think above anything else they need a real rebounder.

Agreed, Damon was the guy that had them going so well until he got injured, then they went down a level after that. Was hitting huge shots all the time.

there is something iffy about damon. i cannot get past his wcf performance against the lakers. he is easy to contain, especially now. during the season, i don't think the opposing teams are overly concerned with what he can do. but in the playoffs, he would be easy to shut down. andre miller, on the other hand, is a guy i really like. he would be a great addition to the grizzlies.

I think Jerry West is saying what he should say - not necessarily what will happen in the future.
