From the article
"Colangelo also confirmed that seven USA Senior National Team players would be unavailable to compete this summer because of injuries. Those players included Gilbert Arenas (Washington Wizards); Joe Johnson (Atlanta Hawks); Brad Miller (Sacramento Kings); Lamar Odom (Los Angeles Lakers); Chris Paul (New Orleans Hornets); Paul Pierce (Boston Celtics) and Dwyane Wade (Miami Heat)."
They say "injuries," but I really don't think Brad is injured (not like some of the other players, who are disabled injured), I just think that his game isn't what the USA team is looking for. I think that Brad brought rebounding and 15-18 foot shooting to the USA team last year, the same stuff that he lacked this past season for the Kings. I guess he's being replaced with athletic youth who can actually score (Oden and Durant) who many Kingsfans wish they could see in a Kings Uniform.
Some may could argue that the USA team kept Brad Miller in shape during last summer. I think it was one of many factors leading to his plantar fasciitis. This makes me wonder what shape Brad will be in when the next season starts. Then again, most likely barring injury, he will have a better year than what happened last year.
If I can recall correctly, I think Brad made a statement like he didn't want to play for (or though he would be dropped from) the USA team earlier in the year when he was recovering. I just want Brad back to the point where he was running the pick and roll/pick and shoot with Bibby to perfection. Also known as when he had athletic ability to drive, could knock down the open jumper, and pass the ball to Bibby back in the day when he could make a lay-up.
