Mike Brown Fired

We haven’t had a wing in 5 years and Monte’s pick up the last two years have been McDermott and Jae Crowder. Dude signs Derozan who can’t do crap but spam iso post ups and hurt spacing and flow of the offense but it’s browns fault. The Derozan signing was laughed at before the ink dried but y’all ate it up cayse not like us was playing

Oh wait we’re getting a 6’3 rebounder that can’t shoot for crap besides two months in a three year college career. Y’all get excited

what did he do to deserve getting fired? Is it his fault the team is 13-18? I’m not saying a switch may be beneficial, but I don’t think this season is on Mike Brown.
The defense that Brown allows to be played is absolutely on Brown and his team of coaches.

A well coached team doesn’t defend the three point line like the Kings have the past few seasons. It’s about where they are, not about whether they’re awful defenders. The scheme is a disaster. That’s on the coach.

And if it’s not scheme and the players are just freelancing that crap, it’s also on the coach for not connecting or fixing it.

What's Keegan Murray then?

You can make a good point without straight up lying

I hear you. I’m not saying you’re wrong, to me it seems the prioritized shutting the paint down. So maybe they could have prioritized defending the 3, but what does that do to the paint defense? What does that do to Domas getting in foul trouble?

Hes been part of the problem this year, not THE problem. But hes the easiest person to scapegoat right now. Let's see if Fox responds on the floor, since I assume this was done to appease him
trade him south. If we are going to let Mike go might as well get rid of him too. If Monte does keep Fox and he makes a trade for a couple wings or bigs are we going to credit the interim with any success we have?

Yeah, it’s a Kangz move. Thought we were done with that but apparently this is our life as Kings fans
It's definitely different than Malone because this team probably has had the highest expectation for success since that 02-03 season in franchise history. Not to mention weve regressed as a team in each consecutive season under Brown.

Obviously not all his fault, but he should take some of the blame. And he has made some questionable decisions. But nothing that should have gotten him fired, not even close

I'd be stunned if this is the only.major shake-up with this team. Time to strap in, think it's going to be a wild month+ for this team

I was floored when Malone was fired. It was the wrong move at the wrong time, and seems like history backs it up.

This move? I'm ambivalent. Many of us were clearly upset with Brown due to scheme and rotations, but I would say that he's probably the best option at the moment, considering how long we've been wandering the desert.

But it sounds like there was a dividing wedge between Brown and Fox, and management chose Fox. I guess we'll see if the right choice was made.

Either way, we're going to get a new guy in who is probably not going to mesh as well with the team because they aren't "his guys." There will probably be a mini-bump from guys who feel a little responsible/remorse that their lack of effort got Brown fired, but there are larger issues at play now in Kingsland. Buckle up.
