Mike bibby and Kenny Thomas for....

Hella916

G-League
I have been thinking about a good trade that is real and can help both the Kings and another team. That team that I have come up with is the New Jersey Nets. This is how the trade would go down.....

Outgoing:

Mike Bibby
18 ppg .... 3rpg... 5apg

Kenny Thomas
6ppg .... 7rpg.... 1apg

Incoming:
Jason Kidd
13ppg ... 8 rpg... 9 apg

The reason why I think this would work for the Kings.....

Both teams here would benefit greatly from this trade. Although the only grip I have against Jason Kidd is that he will be 34 this year in march. He is probably the most complete player in the league with 76 career triple doubles ,and would be the perfect floor leader for the Kings. The Kings are in a need for a true point guard that can dish the rock and REBOUND! The guy is a point guard that averages 8 rebounds per game! Find me another point guard that can rebound and pass the ball like that. We have plenty of scores on our team , we just need a complete player and jason Kidd is the one....

The reason this would work for the Nets....

The nets are in need for a rebounding player after there lead center Nenad Krstic is out for the remander of the season, along with Josh Boone who the Nets drafted this last June but hasent seen any floor time dur to a back injury I believe(someone correct me if I am wrong). So the get a great scoring point guard, a good rebounder in return for Jason Kidd.

If you go to realgm and put this code in the Trade Tracker 3577166, you can see that this is a possible trade. In my option I think it would be PERFECT!. We get a great All Star point guard, and we get rid of that cancer on our team named Kenny Thomas. I am very sorry for the name calling but I really really cant stand him at all. Everytime he plays I always know that we are going to lose. In the 2 games that he was out this year we rolled all over those teams by 20 points or more... Tell me what you guys think about this.....

Jason Kidd isn't going to be traded for a less effective point guard and a midget power forward. It is NOT gonna happen.

Why wont it work? New jersey is shopping Kidd and Vince carter right now because of how bad they are playing at the moment and also cause Vince carter is most likey going to opt out of his contract this year...The trade would mostly be for bibby and Kidd, Kenny is just throwin in the equation to make the deal work salary wise.

I don't want a point guard on his way to being 33 to build on. How many years are left on his deal and for how much?

All in all. No thanks.

they're looking to make their team better not worse.

This is just silly.

Yes, New Jersey might be shopping Jason Kidd and Vince Carter but to think they'll accept what you're offering is ridiculous.

You're guilty of the most basic of Kings fan sins. You're trying to find a way to make your team better without giving any thought to what it does for the other team involved.

Hey, you think it would work? Fine, but don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen.

Who cares what happens to New Jersey, this doesn't make us better, in fact it'd make us worse. Kidd will push the ball, but you still have no athleticism up front to take advantage of Kidd's pass' and Martin is your only shooter on the perimeter. You've just switched the numbers around while not addressing your weaknesses. Kidd is older and making more a year.

Kidd's the best rebounding point guard in the league and can actually play good defense unlike Bibby. His only problem is he can't shoot the ball very well.

Either way, this ain't happening.

I might actually do this. Kidd is a NorCal guy, a distributing PG, and solid team leader. I think we would tank for the rest of the season, but has there ever been a Kidd led team that wasn't fun to watch? Unload Artest for youth/picks and we would have Kidd and Miller as the mentors to a youth movement. Not bad actually. Plus, I think he and Miller would be coming off the books at about the same time, which would mean ALOT of cap room with a solid foundation (hopefully) already in place.

You gave up 11 rebounds for his 8. He's a much better defender than Bibby, but nobody is going to trade for him because of his defense. You want him because of what he can do for your offense, and if your team can't take advantage of that, why do it. He will be 34 soon, and is making more money.

Just say no to players who have had microfracture surgery.

Tell that to the people who keep crying for the glorious return of Chris Webber.

But I'd make an exception for Jason Kidd (because he can still do a ton and you can't take away those passing and rebounding instincts, but he's a fortune and I'm not sure he's worth 20 million dineros), Zach Randolph (although, I wouldn't touch him with a 10 foot pole for various other reasons) and Amare (because it's looking like he's made a near recovery as hard as that is to believe)

Also, microfracture rehab has progressively gotten better as time has passed so people who get it today are much more likely to recover.

People seem to forget that Doug Christie had a pretty good career after coming back from microfracture surgery...

Well it has already been noted that in 3-4 years Amare is for certain going to have to have another one. So that's a pretty big risk you're taking.

I don't think this deal is all that bad for Jason Kidd. The question should be, why do the Kings do it? That's taking on a big contract and an old player that brings us no further than Mike can.

The kings and Nets are teams heading in the same direction and thats the wrong direction, lol. Both teams need to rebuild and the nets have a solid base to did it on. With them already having a PG,SF, and C of the future in Williams, Jefferson, and Neanrd. K, they could trade Kidd and Carter for nice young talents and picks to fill the rest of their roster.

With all that being said, a deal can not be meant in my opinion. Both teams will must likely rebuild in the upcoming years and both teams will be looking for the same thing (picks, expiring contracts, and young players) and neither teams will give up any of those things.

Not totally. As of right now the Kings don't have any super high paid players. The nets have 3.

The one good thing, if you could call it that, is that the Kings at least aren't paying anyone a retarded amount of money and still putting a poor product on the floor. The contracts our players have are semi-reasonable to down right good.

But that still doesn't change the fact that both teams are not in their glory days any more and just stink and need to rebuild.

And a good thing about the Nets signing there players to big contracts is that when they do trade them (which they are plan on doing with kid and carter) they may get alot back in value. And with both Kid and Carter putting up good numbers they should get good value back in return.

We dont have any players with big contracts????? Look at Kenny thomas, Mike Bibby, and Brad Miller...All of them have contracts that are way way over there value, well maybe bibby is worth it but Kenny thomas who is getting 30 mil over the next 3 years is not worth that at all!
