Anybody have ESPN insider. I'm kinda curious what they said when they handed out the King's big juicy "F", not to say I disagree with it.

Inside the record: The Kings are only 7-9 at Arco Arena, which used to be the toughest building in the league for opponents.

Most telling stats: Peja Stojakovic's scoring average is down four points, and only Minnesota is a worse offensive rebounding team.

Changes ahead? Stojakovic will be an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season, and Mike Bibby can opt out after 2006-07. One opposing Western Conference general manager said he believes Brad Miller will be available on the trade market.

The boss says: "Who are you going to bring in who's going to be better for you than Kenny [Thomas] and Corliss [Williamson]?" coach Rick Adelman told The Sacramento Bee after Shareef Abdur-Rahim had his jaw broken by Portland's Zach Randolph on Monday night. "We might bring in a player for practices' sake, but I don't think you're going to find somebody that's going to help you."

Trade asset: If Sacramento ever makes Stojakovic available, plenty of teams out there still believe in him. General manager Geoff Petrie usually gets an All-Star in return when he trades an All-Star, though he broke that trend with the Chris Webber deal.

Grade: F

uh, in the time he has been here he has traded two stars.

richmond for webber (bravo)
and webber for jetsam

50% is good in baseball, but here....?

If we could travel back in time to 2004 - we could get an allstar for Pedja. Unfortunatey it is 2006 and we don't have an allstar anymore

Good Lord...well, as many people praise Petrie's abilities as a GM...I will always remember him for one trade from here on out, as Webb is probably having one of his most productive, all-around seasons as a player...but hey, he's a banged up, aging PF that has a huge contract. RIIIIIIGHT! I hated the trade when it happened, and I hate it even more now. Chris Webber should still be here, and should still be the LEADER that we so much need...I doubt we would be having the identity problem and energy problems that we are having right now if he was here. Bravo Geoff!

You know, that is literally last year's news.

As someone who was very vocal about my dislike of the trade, I've moved on. And if I can, I pretty much think anyone can.

We, the fans, will most likely NEVER know all the reasons that went into the decision. And, as much as we're used to having every little single bit of information available at our fingertips, there is no reason for us to know everything. It was - bottom line - a business decision made by Geoff Petrie and the Kings owners. And that's their right...

I still don't understand why people get so worked up about these ridiculous ratings. If you want to know how your team is doing, watch the games. If you really think these rankings/ratings are worth anything, you're probably not a devoted fan. They're might be good for discussing on boring winter days, but not much else ... unless you're Mr. S£im. ;)
