So...we spent a portion of last night with our power flickering on and off constantly. I live outside city limits so I figured it was a "regional" issue (typically this is from a downed pole somewhere a mile or so away, or whatever). Then I looked out the window and our neighbors lights were all on. So, I wandered out to the street and we had a sparking power line on a pole at the corner of our property that was only affecting us. Whee! Lucky for the neighbors, I guess? SMUD took care of it immediately. KUDOS to our first responders working the holidays! You are greatly appreciated!!!
All your appliances, etc., flickering on and off constantly at o-dark-thirty in the morning is NO BUENO.
We don't have any trees adjacent to that pole, so while I think it was wind-related I'm not exactly sure what may have caused it...
