Last time the Kings played Memphis (Feb. 12), the Grizzlies got their first win in the post-Gasol era. That was back when Mike Bibby was still on the team and there was still talk - at least by some - of making the playoffs.
The Kings aren't talking much about the playoffs any more, except to mention the "spoiler" aspect. Today's game, however, has pretty much nothing at stake for either team. The only positive I could think of was that at least it's not Dallas.
An early game today against a stereotypical "who cares" opponent probably won't pull a lot of people inside from the beautiful day outside to watch basketball. And if it does, most people I would think will be watching March Madness. But we are Kings fans - and we don't fit the stereotypical mold.
