7/20/06 with the Rise Guys at 8 am.

Didn't catch all of it, but he was just discussing a bit about the marketing effort that is going to have to be put forth to combat the "handout for rich guys" idea with a "what vision do you have for Sacramento's future"-type idea.

Said he would expect the city/county to help with this as well (should be a co-ordinated marketing effort), as they are paying for +/- 80% of the structure if it passes.

If anyone caught more or can expand, please post. Thanks!

He also said he wasn't convinced that the Maloof's would participate greatly in any such marketing blitz.

He also expressed that he felt the Maloofs had been given bad advice to keep out of the public eye "under the radar" if you will.

His take is that the Maloof's should, without being asked, be able to go public and tell Sacramento how much they're committed to staying here.

Didn't catch the whole thing, but that was some of it.

Thanks. I think he's right about letting the public know that they want to keep the team here and be a big part of the community. Their charitable work is great and good for some kids who might see players as role models. And the Kings are one of the best teams as far as those types of events are concerned. I doubt they get the recognition they deserve for it at times.
