Maloofs refuse to talk to KJ tonight

They've been exposed with their intentions and just want it to play out with their eventual plans to relocate the team.

George is the ringleader, Gavin the "rah rah" guy and Joe the follower.

Jerks.

Boycott everything MSE except buying tix to Kings games. No popcorn, no drinks (bring a bottle water), no merchandise, etc. The Maloofs deserve to be punished in a most precise, stategic way, for their pathetic, arrogant attitude. Oh, and don't buy anything from sponsers who remain with Kings including advertisers on Grant Napear radio show.

I don't think you can bring a water bottle into the arena.

Aside from that, I agree with your idea to spend no money once you're there.

This situation is quite depressing. As if the last 5+ seasons weren't tough enough, we now have owners willing to do anything possible to sabotage both the team and the city. I can stomach poor basketball decisions and poor play, even though it can be extremely frustrating, but this off the court crap is insane.

I have to wonder how much of this is going to show up as part of Adrienne's reality show. This is bad TV at its very best.

The headline makes it seem like they will never talk where the article just refers to tonight. I kind of agree, there is nothing to talk about tonight. Of course the problem is the Maloofs and not KJ, so there won't be much to talk about until they pull their heads out of their rears. I agree to hit them where it hurts. But I don't agree with taking it out on sponsors, who I am sure side with KJ and keeping the team in Sac and are needed to keep the team here just like locals need to buy tickets, if everyone bails the jerks have an excuse to bail. And that may be their plan.

Agree about the sponsors. Keep going to the games and keep supporting the sponsors, just don't give ANY extra income to the Maloofs.

You can just keep it on your body. Years of experience in college with bringing my adult beverages in water bottles.

I have worn my little fanny pack before to various indoor and outdoor sports events that has velcro strap and other little clasps to easily attach a small water bottle. I assume I could wear it and go through security at Kings games without any problem - especially if it's just water. If not, I'm positive I could just have an empty or full water bottle in my pocket and refill at games with free H2O as needed.

To be more on topic with the thread, e'F the Maloofs. They had an opportunity to have a new arena, which don't grow on trees, they have a developing core of a good team yet they are taking a big dump on it by pissing away the chance of having an arena and I won't go into what I think of their signing of Smart. They made money. Isn't that wonderful. They made money by deliberately avoiding the hassle of hiring a good coach and signing a good free agent. Now with the NBA kickback of money from the rich to the poor, they can make even more money off us stupid idiots who continue to fill their PBP arena. They have no interest in building a great team. Live with it! I guess we are supposed to feel greatful to have what we have.

And man, George, don't let the people of your family who disagree with you dare talk to KJ. What a mess that would be to expose the dysfunctional inner workings of the Maloof family. I am sick of them. All of them.

KJ flying to meet George just justifies my point that he's the "ringleader" and the rest of the family follows whatever he says.

Gavin and Joe are wallflowers.

@KJ_MayorJohnson: he and Maloof agreed 'open lines of communication would be in everyone’s best interest moving ahead.'

Mayor and George Maloof will have follow-up conversation next week. Today's meeting was 'productive,' mayor said. #NBAKings

I could not find any support on my web searches for this guys comments

The second comment at bottom of this article:

"The planned private arena in Natomas was never contigent on the Maloofs staying in Sacramento but reports out of CNBC and Las Vegas today is that the NBA owners are now pushing hard for Kings franchise contraction due to the Maloofs following below fiscal threasholds established for every NBA team and in doing so, strategically not allowing the Kings to file relocation paperwork and costly anti-trust litigation for which the NBA would lose.
League owners are woring with the players union to sign-off on deal that would absorb Kings players to other teams.
With the Kings gone, other NBA team owners would then have one less team to split revenues with.

Jkbiker:

Well I hope this guy is just full of s**t , I could not find anything in my searches
scary part is it sorta makes sense? Maybe some leverage to get the Maloofs back in the game?

Phone Call to George from Stern: Hey there George, you better find a way to make this arena deal work with KJ cause owners are not gonna relocate you or let you sue cause gess what we can always vote for contraction

That Bee forum poster is pretty unreliable with their information.

That Bee forum poster is pretty unreliable with their information.

Yes, this is the same poster who has been continually promising for probably over a year that a mystery non-profit group was imminently going to emerge and announce a plan to build an arena in Natomas with 100% private money. Like the "good news" counterpart of a doomsday predictor, this poster has set several in-stone dates about when this group was going to announce itself and its plans; each date has come and gone with, unsurprisingly, no announcement. Of all the posters at the Bee, that one has one of the lowest factual credulity factors.
