You need to ask Jeremy or the other mods (VF21) if that is okay to post another site's stuff here, I don't think that it is though. It's great to discuss theories, but how do you know the spoilers are accurate? And I just don't see what kind of thrill one would get from Lost anymore if they knew what was going to happen. That i what makes this show so great-the way it is always throwing curve balls to the viewer.
I wasn't referring to posting spoilers from other sites, I was talking about a forum feature called a spoiler tag (similar to the URL tag, color tags, font tags, etc.) that blocks any part of your post that you place in it so that anybody who doesn't want to read it won't accidentally read something they don't want to read. I've seen it on other sites, which makes me think it might be a vBulletin feature that can be enabled for this forum to use as well.
It is up to each poster to judge their own comments, or a moderator who can edit their post can also add the tags, but the idea is I could say something about the show like this:
Spoiler (select with your cursor to read):
You shouldn't be able to read this unless you highlight it. I am trying to wean myself off Lost. ::gasp::
End spoiler
And you wouldn't have to read it if you didn't want to. Those who do want to can just select the text in their browser. It is a hassle to do it the way I just did (and not always effective), but the extra forum feature makes it a lot easier.
Anyway, I don't know if the SPOILER tag is a simple addition or not, since I've never run a vBulletin site. But if it is, it could always be added and if nobody uses it there would be no harm done.
