Latrell Sprewell?

not that i care, but whats up with Sprewell this upcoming season? kinda interesting to see what will happen this season after what happened last year.

You started a thread, so seems that you care enough to do that. ;)
I am eager to see that too. I kind of feel bad for him. I mean sometimes you say things, but no one taking him at all is a little too sad....

Nobody took a flyer on him all of last season, so I don't see any reason his stock should rise this next season. I think it's safe to say Spreewell is done.

I never really hated on the guy like most others, just thought his money demands were strange. I think he lands with a top team this season.

IF (Big if) Spree kept his mouth shut and his agent beat the bushes AND if Spree would take the LLE he might get work. He is old, he is a pain and he has not played in the leage now for over a year. Having once been very good may not be enough to convince anyone.

Wonder if his family is starving...He could play a role off the bench for a top team and go for a ring, or he can go after the money (which he probably will).

Crazy comments not withstanding the guy is too good a player for someone not to pick him up. No way he is going to get the kind of offer he scoffed at before, but if he learned his lesson he could help some teams.

WAS too good of a player. He's old, and as someone else pointed out, out of the league for over a year. He WAS good. You have no idea about his conditioning at this point, or where his skills are at.

Thats true^ but you know Gm's in this league... someone is always willing to give a player another chance. Everybody wants to find that player that can make a difference... almost to a fault most offseasons. Someone is going to throw a few mill his way, and at this point I think the knicks are capable of almost anything :D ...

Remember he scoffed at a mid-season offer from Minny and went inot LAST off season as an unrestricted FA. and the offers did not exactly pour in.

Didn't they offer quite a bit too? No way he is going to get even half of that... it will be low offers no doubt, he has to prove himself now. I don't see him scoffing at anything this year.. I mean hey, he has to feed his family right ;) ?

Yep, like I said some team might take a flyer but offers will be LOW. I suspect last season some low offers were made that his agent rejected out of hand but it has to be obvious now that notheing even close to Minnys 10 mill 2 year will ever come again. I suspect if a team went even as high as the Vets Minimum Spree will snap it up.

And that pretty much sums up the entire story about Latrell Sprewell at this point...

Maybe the Maloofs will probably pick him up. He is washed-up and cheap. The most important consideration might be that he is widely disliked in Sacramento and completely off the radar. He might be a natural for the new and improved Kings.
