how is it horrible?

1) we get rid of Beno
2) we get a solid young PG prospect
3) we get a vet who is a VERY MOVABLE piece to any contender...

both guys values went up big time in the playoffs..

You don't trade away a potential impact pick for an Aaron Brooks. We havee absolutely no need for "solid" players at this point. Give me 1000 "solid players" and we'll still suck. We need a big score. Brooks ain't it. And Battier's value is to an elite team, not a young rebuilding one.

agreed in theory, but to be honest in this years draft, everyone except Griffin and Rubio isn't going to be that "impact pick"
 
I agree. This would be horrible. The Kings are rebuilding, let's start and give ourselves a chance with some possible All Stars.

I like Brooks and Battier, but they have no chance to be what Rubio, Evans, or Curry may become...
