That was really crazy...once again Planette Pierson in the middle of it all.
To me trouble follows her everywhere. I'm not saying she was the cause, but anger gets the best of her. Rick Mahorne trys to break it up, LLL gets the worst of it & falls hard to the floor...damn...some brawling on ESPN2 HD;)

If they follow NBA rules, there will be A LOT of suspensions since the rule is if you leave the bench you get suspended. remember Amare n Diaw? So if they follow those rules there will be a bunch of LAS players suspended, I'm not sure they have enough players for the next game.

Because.....if you're into that you buy a ticket to the game and hope a brawl breaks out like that?

What it will do will get picked up by all the media outlets, sorta like crazy snipets of running with bulls do and people see it as crazy and go on with their lives.

It will be one more thing that people who chastise the league will berate it for.

I did not say I like it nor did I say that I wanna see it.....I'm just saying Creativetfh may be right when he said it will bring attention to the league...which for some people may be good.

I felt bad for Leslie, you could tell she was still pretty shook up in her post game interview. Gotta respect the way she handled herself in that mess. I also felt bad for Ford who was just trying to pull her crazy teammate Pierson out of the fray and ended up leaving on a wheelchair for her efforts.

What a mess! Parker and Pierson should both get multiple game suspensions out of this. Milton-Jones was just stupid, what in the hell does she think she's doing punching Rick Mahorn? I understand she only saw the end of what happened with Lisa and Rick, but that was just dumb.

I think the trend tho is the opposite...that last brawl at the Palace did nothing good for the NBA, the only "good" that will come of it is that a 15 second clip of the brawl (not the game, just the brawl) will get more air at the end of a sports segment on a local news program than the league would have gotten. And this air will be in the spot where weird happenings go, there may not even be mention of the score.

That someone got wheeled off injured ain't good for the league neither.

yeah im not saying fighting is good in any league or anywhere....it just might be a messed up platform to been seen as the big boys do. Grown women who are professional athletes that compete with the same amount of passion as their big brothers.

Passion is one thing...you can see that on the floor every night in the way the men and women play without needing to throw punches or try to hurt somebody.

Stupidity and violence is just that. The only thing that helps is feeding the salacious appetite of viewers. If you get somebody off the couch because these women tried to hurt each other unrelated to a basketball sense. The league took a huge step backwards in terms of what it's tried to market itself as.

I'll bet my bottom dollar this is something Jim Rome will mention tomorrow, and it won't be to do anything other than to mock the league.

I gotta say, it was emotional. I saw a different side of LLL & have more respect for her views. She was right on saying the officials should have took control. I guess the coaches have some responsibilty as well...
Detroit, already has the Bad Girl image to up hold.

Just saw the slow breakdown on ESPN news, Ford's knee buckled. That could be really bad. I had just assumed she further tweaked the knee that had taken a hit a few minutes earlier when she went down. But that looked like a typical bad news knee buckle, hopefully it's not as bad as that looked.
