Kool Aid?

I've been coming here almost every day for the past few years but for some reason I missed out on where the Kool Aid joke came from. I hear it all the time "Muss and his halftime Kool Aid". Where did it all come from? Maybe I'm posting this in the wrong section... if so please move it where it needs to go. Thanks...

The Kings have been getting blown out after 1/2 time especially in the 3rd quarters and cannot finish out games so we are all wondering what is going on in the locker room. The Kings are 2 different teams on either side of 1/2 time. We are thinking that Muss is spiking the Kool Aid with some sleep agents or another alternative is making his "test subjects" endure more Power Point presentations and asking our big guys to shoot more 3s and our guards to grab more rebounds or something to that effect which the players just say...yeah yeah yeah and then do what they want anyways.

It all started right here at Kingsfans.com It indicates that our innocent players are being given something at half-time that prevents them from coming out and playing a decent second half.

It comes the tragedy at Jamestown in Guyana when hundreds of followers of Jim Jones and the Peoples Temple died. The initial reports were they had been given kool-aid laced with cyanide. Autopsies showed a large number of the victims had needle marks which refuted the kool-aid rumors.

It's come to mean something evil, bad or sinister hidden in something innocent, like kool-aid.

Oskor,

Other frequently occurring phrases on this site that you should become familiar with are "tempest in a teapot" and "the straw man argument." :p
