No way he's got to leave him in... he's got a shot at history.

damn..... i cant stand him but that is something else, he should go for the laker record just for the hell of it.... whats 10 more points? he could do it in garbage time, lol.....

Kobe dnp 4th quarter coaches decision due to Mark Cuban threatening to run into 405 traffic if Kobe outscored the entire Mavs team for the whole game.

Mark Cuban poking his eyeballs out right now. lmao

He's 9 points away from tieing the franchise record of 71.. much as I hate him, it's been awhile since anybody's scored 70 points, put Kobe back in!! :D

Are you serious? It's cuban, so nothing would surprise me(although I'm sure you're joking).

Kobe is unreal tonight. Even worse was the officiating. See those cheapshots on Mavs players that went totally uncalled? The evidence is that nice little shiner underneath Dirks eye. Nevertheless, officiating or not they killed us tonight. No excuses.

In fact I'm not so mad at how much Kobe is scoring, about how biased the officiating is, or the fact that we had our butts kicked. I am mad at how the Mavs reacted to this kind of adversity. We'll see how Avery can correct this, it'll be his first big test as a head coach.

I used to think T-Mac was the best overall talent in the NBA but now I am fairly confident that Kobe is THE BEST pound for pound player in the league...just a hunch

the bad thing is....

the mavs play the kings next....

after getting drilled by the lakers...

mavs are gonna come out with fire in their eyes...

best get ready kings....

foretaz - not too sure about that. Losses like this can just as equally demoralize a team. Especially with a rookie head coach, you never know how they'll handle it.

Dirk got hit after the foul was called on him. Kobe threw his arms up. You can't call a foul on a guy that just got fouled. Dirk was just unlucky. Josh Howard got Kobe back but Kobe got mad and lit you guys up. That's what you guys get for pissing him off.

I think Kings would be ready regardless, because of the last two games.

It looked more intentional than just "threw his arms up" but hey, thats besides the point. The officiating was horrific from the first minute on.

And of course Josh Howard got Kobe back and Howard deserved that flagrant. Which is why I think the Mavs shouldn't have reacted that way. Avery Johnson picking up 2 techs, Dirk getting one, Josh getting a flagrant...

Thats now how you are supposed to react.

Good move on Jackson's part to sit Kobe, IMHO. You don't want to risk him getting injured in a game that was so totally and clearly over.

naaaa....i dont even consider avery a rookie...he was a rookie last year...

they will come out possessed on the defensive end....

i have a feeling it could get ugly in sactown....with all due respects to the hometown kingsfans....

I'm not about to go out on that limb.

The Mavericks have delighted in coming into Arco and silencing the crowd. This year, their job is half-done before they even start to play. And if Bonzi isn't going to be there to set the tone, it could be a very long game Thursday night...

when you compete, you compete

Even if it was intentional, it'd be a very good move for kobe to do, since it irritated Dirk and the Mavs/Coach for the rest of the game. you can learn those things only from experience. very smart move.
