Kings will be #3 in Division

I feel that the Kings will finish in the third spot behind the Suns and Clipps....Petrie seems to be signing people that are being let go by teams that are terrible....NY and Philly......I don't get it....I makes me not even want to see what goes on this year.....I hope Petrie has a plan for next year by doing a big sign and trade w/ the bums he signed this year.....Kings lack depth and need to sign a better power forward.....KT and Sharef won't get it done....Sign a descent back up PG....Hart is pitiful and the youngsters are unproven........The Suns and Clipps have depth and better starters at every position thus making them the front runners for the division title...what do you all think?....

The Clippers are garbage until they beat the Kings in the regular season.

3 years and counting without a win.

The Suns will do the same crap they did last year, if everybody can stay somewhat healthy. They dont have the peices to win more than a series in the Playoffs. They got lucky they faced the Clippers in the second round last year. I see them winning 50+ again then probably getting knocked out in the first round.

You are forgetting the Lakers who won 45 last year and look better this year -- its possible we could finish 4th in the division...and still have a shot at a playoff spot. Maybe.

quite frankly, the Lakers are not that good....Odem is overrated....Kobe shoots too much and they have no real center w/ any skills......The Kings have a better starting 5 than anyone in that division.......IMHO.....I feel that Brad doesn't get good props considering there are NO REAL CENTERS except an OLD SHAQ & A SOFT YAO.....I'll take Brad over them this year and beyond....at least he goes to the basket...I only worry about our 3pt shooting....Bibby & maybe Douby if he proves it are our only 3pt shooters...I don't trust Sisco yet....

we have a better starting five than every team in the pac-div except phx... i could see us getting 2nd in the div if we click early... bibby was horrible at the beginnig of last season... i dont see that happening again this season... we wont be playing catch up with bottom feeders this time around...

i think we get 2, we're better than the clips.... last year we beat them with once with peja, we beat them once with ron, we also beat them once when peja was injured and kevin was starting, and i'm pretty sure we beat them when bonzi was injured....i think we have them beat no matter what..

we havent lost to the clippers since jwill was on the team, lol...

I think that the Clipps have a better team depth wise though...even if we beat them 4 times....that doesn't say much....Corey Magette is pretty good and he is a sixth man player....I just hope that next year we get at least one big name sign and trade player and descent bench support....I think that the Mav and Suns are our only worry....Spurs are aging fast w/ Timmy having to play center this year...

Kings #3? That's a bold statement. However, I can't argue for or against. Why? Because I have no clue how this team will look w/ Muss as the coach. Not a one.

This team has always had a fair amount of offensive firepower, which is still there. Defensively, they've had their moments, but have been flat/soft. If Muss brings a steady diet of defense (which judging by Bibby, he has), look out! They could definitely challenge for a top spot. However, if they resemble the Kings of the past, they'll fight just for a playoff spot.

This certainly has been one of the more exciting off-seasons in recent history, because there are huge variables.

i think this team has a shot at being number 2 in the division. behind phoenix. and not by a landslide either. i think the expectations for the clippers are too high. too many teams have fluke years. the sonics of 2005, the t-wolves of 2004, the sixers of 2001, clippers wont be any different. bibby and artest are two players that are just flat out raw. as long as we have those two and miller can hit those jumpers we are IN.

i agree with everything u said, the clips got lucky, sam's getting older, i think theyll be exactly like sonics of 05

We'll see. Brand could have another MVP-caliber year, Maggette will be healthy and productive, Tim Thomas could be a solid 6th man, and Livingston could continue to the point where Casell's age is no longer a factor. And don't forget Kaman and Mobley. Think it's hard to overrate the Clips too much at this point.

And who cares if the Kings sweep the Clips in the regular season? Since when is that a key factor in division seedings?

Clippers are better then the Kings lets not get ahead of ourselves even though there not good head-2-head when they play us there better right now overall as a team.

Lakers and the Kings are a draw it can go either way.

of course you consider the Kings to be better, why would a Kings fan want the Lakers to be better then the Kings? ;)

True, but as much as i don't like the Lakers, from an NBA fan viewpoint, they just don't have as many parts as we do IMO. We are a more complete team IMO, but they do have the best scorer in the league so that always helps.

The Lakers, have there problem but so do we.

I'd like to think in terms of a 5 game series rather than winning random games. I am a King fan, I think as usual our front line leaves us lacking.

Clippers would beat the Kings in a series. I used to say this comparing other teams to the Kings, but right now except for Artest and Bibby we don't have a player who would start for them or even get marginal minutes.

Lakers would beat us too. Do we really think we could shut down Kobe regardless of their rebounding advantage? IMO they would also kill us on the boards and defensively. Umm, do we really think Mussel will lead them past a Phil team with comparable talent? Yecch, they're better unless we change our guys.

Phoenix with a healthy Amare certainly would handle our present squad.
I think we would be nip and tuck with San Antonio, and somehow Dallas doesn't seem to have what we lack.

I think we'd fight our tails off against San Antonio and Dallas but probably lose. 50-50 chance to beat anyone else in the west as far as I'm concerned with New Orleans being the toughest.

As far as the Kings corralling Kobe, I think a healthy and fit Ron Artest will give him pause.

who on the lakers would stop the kings defensively? sending them to the ft line isnt good defense... they are just lucky that we have weak finishers, lol...

Its not. And at by the end of the year how you've done head to head only matters if you are lucky enough to run into that team in the playoffs. Clips were a better team than we were last year -- they beat more people than we did, thta simple. Would we have beat them in a series? I think so -- we've owned them for years. But that doesn't make us better despite losing considerably more games against eveyrbody else than they did. Back in the glory days the Sonics used to give us fits. Were they better than our 60 win type teams? Hardly. Just a flukey matchup problem issue that only applied head to head.
