The Game Thread Dude
the dude had fallen out of the rotation behind Harkless and even New JJ so not entire unexpected but an odd move to say the least

Hopefully its a big man. Come to think of it, maybe Metu is already at his active game limit as a two-way player.
SWOOP IN AND STEAL DEMARCUS FROM THE CLIPPERS!
Or Shumpert. That also works.

Almost wonder if this was more of a favor to him and his agent than a move to make us better. Woodard plays the same position as him, does a lot of similar things, and is an all around better prospect, and we're holding onto Barnes and added Davis as a quasi-wing and Harkless as another 3-4 so going to another (tanking) team is probably a better way for him to stay in the league longterm.Jeez, tough business. Dude was out for a big chunk of the year, came back and provided solid defense and then was banished to the bench.
Oh yup, looks like you're right. Either way, Metu probably would have warranted a regular roster spot in a regular game limit season.I think they edited the rules this year to allow two-way players full-time for this season.
This makes sense from financial perspective. JJ is guaranteed for next year while DQJ is not.
Also, Rockets is letting go of BMac. Will the new player be Cuz or BMac?
Are Jason Thompson or Carl Landry still in game playing shape?there are so many ex king free agents out there right now. If we are going to sign one, my money is on Sauce Castillo.

Haha... thanks for the correction. It must've been late when I saw this..."Knicks", not "Kings".
Pretty stupid. Justin James isn't an NBA player. I'm guessing this saves $$$ but what a cheap way out.
Only two posts up I pointed out that cutting DQJ *does not* save money relative to cutting JJ.
