I would feel much better about it if I were him if the players that were playing in front of me were better. They just aren't. I am really starting to think that Jimmer isn't Smart's guy and it doesn't matter how well he plays or how crappy the other guys play he just isn't going to get any significant minutes.

I would feel much better about it if I were him if the players that were playing in front of me were better. They just aren't. I am really starting to think that Jimmer isn't Smart's guy and it doesn't matter how well he plays or how crappy the other guys play he just isn't going to get any significant minutes.

I think thats a safe bet. Do you remember at the early part of the season when Jimmer was at the top of the efficiency list? Smart's comments were something like, "well I guess I'm going to have to find a way to play him more..." except his minutes didn't go up.

Smart certainly has not helped the cause, but we need better shooting #'s from our main cogs. 2-10 from IT 6-14 from Tyreke 7-18 from Cousins. Not going to win many games with those 3 shooting like that

Would not surprise me that the Maloofs have been sabotaging this team in order to destroy fan enthusiasm. Well, on purpose that is. They've sabotaged this team with terrible decisions regardless.

This loss falls squarely on Smart's decisions and some of those atrocious plays coming out of the timeout. Sure, some guys could shoot better, but you had the game in control and then leave Thornton and Brooks in way too long. As a coach, you have to know that combo kills your offense every game and is atrocious on defense. There is no point to play those two together when a game's outcome is still in question.

If anything you'd think the best teams in the league would have the bench depth to play their starters even less during the regular season.

Thats way too advanced of a coaching tactic.... only phil jackson and jerry sloans know how to do that sort of thing....
