Starter
Piksi is out, so I am filling in for him again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
On April 9th 2003 Kings murdered Seattle, 107-85. The bench was strong in this one, BJax had 14/5, and Hedo had 11. CWebb led the Kings with 20/6/7 and Peja followed up with 18. Bibby had 15, and Doug only had 3, but he filled up the stat sheet everywhere else, with 7 assists, 5 steals, 4 blocks
, and 4 rebounds.
"This team understands what we have in front of us," Sacramento
guard Doug Christie said. "We want to go out there every night
and put forth a crazy effort. We just want to go out there and
play hard until we get subbed out. I think that's how we did it
the remainder of the road trip and tonight, I just tried to get
a hand up on Ray's (Allen) shots tonight."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings are now 40-37 after a 2-1 road trip, in which they stunned the Spurs and won a game that you probably penciled in as a win anyways. Bibby continues his ownage of the city of Los Angeles. Grant Napear said that if you told RA that they would go 2-1 on this road trip, he would have never left Sacramento. The Loss Angeles Clippers is a great sight to see on the Kings schedule.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, we have caught the Lakers. Bibby is probably licking his chops at the sight of Nash in the playoffs. I really like the thought of them playing the Suns in round one, because they don't defend. But they are also very hard to defend. I think Artest can clamp Marion, and the Kings should do fine. But remember, everyone was saying this about Seattle last year.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ron Artest willed us a win on Friday, at least in the fourth. Question: The Clips outrebounded us 52-36. They only had 11 offensive boards. The Kings had 9. The Kings also shot less shots than the Clips (33 of 75 as opposed to 38-37.) So my only conclusion is that the Clips had so many more boards as a result of our 13 missed free throws. They didn't kill us with offensive boards, so I wouldn't put that much stock into them outrebounding us.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anybody else think that its sad when your starting backcourt outrebounds your starting frontcourt? Thats right. Bibby and Bonzi had a combined 16, and Ron, Kenny, and Brad had a combined 15. *tear*
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clippers bench sucks. Sorry, they tried to fool the Kings by starting Livingston (who will be decent eventually) and Ross (umm, yea) and bringing the Cat and Ugly #1 off the bench. (Ugly #2 would be Kaman.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Awards, hooray. The TDM award went to Mobley who had 17/5/6 in 32 minutes. I was really afraid he would go off on us in the final minute like he did to the Clips last year. LW-VC award is a tie between Ross and Radmonovic. Vlad Rad missed shots when we needed him to, so A+. As for Ross, a steal and a block in 30 minutes isn't very good work. Go back to the D-League.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings own Clippers like the Catholic Church owns land.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ya, the Rockets. Too bad for them. What a waste of Stromile Swift, who was a big I wanted the Kings to pick up last offseason. Yao is starting to realize he is 7'6", and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he drops 40-50 on Brad tommorow. Head is my favorite for the TDM, and Howard or Bowen for the LWC-VC award.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - Play every game like its in LA
Ron - Play every quarter like its the 4th
Brad - Pretend your Bill Russel
Bonzi - Shoot more (yikes) Dunk less
SAR - time for a really really good game
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kevin - make the 3 and youll be aight
KT - Try to rebound. We'll need it.
Hart - After trying PG for a while, I think he should go back to his old position.
Cisco - minutes will come, just focus
The Rest - when you get a chance, make sure you get some tweezers to pick all the splinters out your ***
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - please don't lose to the Rockets. please.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rockets- Too bad for T-Mac. Maybe its cuz Shaun Bradley retired, T-Mac has no more motivation, and thats why he is so depressed all the time. That and his back problems. Those might be a factor.
