Piksi is out, so I am filling in for him again.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
On April 9th 2003 Kings murdered Seattle, 107-85. The bench was strong in this one, BJax had 14/5, and Hedo had 11. CWebb led the Kings with 20/6/7 and Peja followed up with 18. Bibby had 15, and Doug only had 3, but he filled up the stat sheet everywhere else, with 7 assists, 5 steals, 4 blocks , and 4 rebounds.
"This team understands what we have in front of us," Sacramento
guard Doug Christie said. "We want to go out there every night
and put forth a crazy effort. We just want to go out there and
play hard until we get subbed out. I think that's how we did it
the remainder of the road trip and tonight, I just tried to get
a hand up on Ray's (Allen) shots tonight."

--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings are now 40-37 after a 2-1 road trip, in which they stunned the Spurs and won a game that you probably penciled in as a win anyways. Bibby continues his ownage of the city of Los Angeles. Grant Napear said that if you told RA that they would go 2-1 on this road trip, he would have never left Sacramento. The Loss Angeles Clippers is a great sight to see on the Kings schedule.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
So, we have caught the Lakers. Bibby is probably licking his chops at the sight of Nash in the playoffs. I really like the thought of them playing the Suns in round one, because they don't defend. But they are also very hard to defend. I think Artest can clamp Marion, and the Kings should do fine. But remember, everyone was saying this about Seattle last year.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ron Artest willed us a win on Friday, at least in the fourth. Question: The Clips outrebounded us 52-36. They only had 11 offensive boards. The Kings had 9. The Kings also shot less shots than the Clips (33 of 75 as opposed to 38-37.) So my only conclusion is that the Clips had so many more boards as a result of our 13 missed free throws. They didn't kill us with offensive boards, so I wouldn't put that much stock into them outrebounding us.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Anybody else think that its sad when your starting backcourt outrebounds your starting frontcourt? Thats right. Bibby and Bonzi had a combined 16, and Ron, Kenny, and Brad had a combined 15. *tear*
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Clippers bench sucks. Sorry, they tried to fool the Kings by starting Livingston (who will be decent eventually) and Ross (umm, yea) and bringing the Cat and Ugly #1 off the bench. (Ugly #2 would be Kaman.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Awards, hooray. The TDM award went to Mobley who had 17/5/6 in 32 minutes. I was really afraid he would go off on us in the final minute like he did to the Clips last year. LW-VC award is a tie between Ross and Radmonovic. Vlad Rad missed shots when we needed him to, so A+. As for Ross, a steal and a block in 30 minutes isn't very good work. Go back to the D-League.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings own Clippers like the Catholic Church owns land.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Ya, the Rockets. Too bad for them. What a waste of Stromile Swift, who was a big I wanted the Kings to pick up last offseason. Yao is starting to realize he is 7'6", and I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he drops 40-50 on Brad tommorow. Head is my favorite for the TDM, and Howard or Bowen for the LWC-VC award.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - Play every game like its in LA
Ron - Play every quarter like its the 4th
Brad - Pretend your Bill Russel
Bonzi - Shoot more (yikes) Dunk less
SAR - time for a really really good game
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kevin - make the 3 and youll be aight
KT - Try to rebound. We'll need it.
Hart - After trying PG for a while, I think he should go back to his old position.
Cisco - minutes will come, just focus
The Rest - when you get a chance, make sure you get some tweezers to pick all the splinters out your ***
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - please don't lose to the Rockets. please.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rockets- Too bad for T-Mac. Maybe its cuz Shaun Bradley retired, T-Mac has no more motivation, and thats why he is so depressed all the time. That and his back problems. Those might be a factor.

Nice job filling in:), piksi would be proud. We're now #7, wouldn't it be sweet if Hornets took over the 8th spot:D I'm rooting for it. Go Clips, show that you're the best team in LA. Ron, don't forget your pills (just take them earlier). Kings will win this one.

thanks all. but its the rockets. it wont be that bad.

Nice job, venom_7.

Let's go Kings! Beat the Rockets and keep our win streak going. :D

Remember this is a very dangers team that has beaten the Kings 2 times already... Kings can giet it but they can't take the Rockets for granted.

Get Stromile to the Kings and we will get the Vancouver Kings team:rolleyes:

Can't take this team lightly. Yao is being dominant as of late. Go Kings

Yao was so dominant that they actually lost to Portland Trailblazers.:D Just kidding!

Kings vs. Rockets Game Thread

First off, Piksi is awsome and I can't replace him...he's one of a kind. I hope he comes back to see a 2-0-while-piksi-is-out-of-town streak by the Kings. So far we're on track at 1-0. If we go 2-0, maybe Piksi should go "out of town" without any sort of contact more often. ;)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
On April 9th, 2006 we played the Rockets and beat them. :D (Somebody look up some past history April 9th pwease!!!)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kings @ 40 - 37 and tied for the 7th position in the West. Clippers continue to suffer the curse of Mike Bibby Ownership. Ronny was big time and after careful review of his back-to-back baskets (i.e. the crazy triple-clutch-three and the sick fadeaway followed by infinite defensive intensity), I have deteremined that he is officially THE Man. Apparently he changed his medication during halftime, because he was a different person in the 4th. More of that every quarter please!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
There's a lot of talk on this forum about who we should play in the first round of the playoffs. Regardless of who we play, that team will be VERY afraid. Why you ask?! Because there isn't a lot of tape on our team, and that is what coaches/players usually use as material to get prepared. Unfortunately, the enigma that is the Artest-Era Sacramento Kings cannot be encapsulated by video tape. The team will have to face us and realize that we are broadcasting in HD (Hard Defense).
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
I'd like to take this section to give a shot out to Mike Bibby for being the offensive leader and Ron Artest for being the defensive leader. People have discussed who our MVP is and I would have to give that award to Sampson...um...I mean I'd have to give that award to Bibby and Artest, both VERY important for us to achieve our goal of 2006 Champions.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
AWARDS @ Clippers
Tony Delk Memorial (TDM) - Z. Rebraca - 10 pts (4.6 avg.), 5 rbs (2.4 avg.) on 4-6 shooting in 23 minutes.
Luke Walton Vacuum Cleaner (LW-VC) - Q. Ross - 0 pts in 21 minutes.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Winning in Clips 13 times in a row is fun to watch and makes me happy. But I wish it was a 13 game streak against the other LA team. KINGS OWN CLIPPERS.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mike - dude 5 more thirty point games and we'll be rollin.
Ron - pill switch in the 4th did wonders, stick to the new prescription
Brad - needs to get a rebounding-allergy antihistamine.
Bonzi - can't wait to sign you. hopefully you don't want too much $
SAR - needs to play more like @ Spurs
Kevin - almost won the LW-VC award last time...Come on K...we need you
KT - playing some good defense lately...but we need more.
hart - can't wait for you to not be a King...and start for the Lakers
Cisco - we need you NOW
The Rest - Mateen
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - I like it when you double pump your fists after a win...let's make that a regular habit now and in the post-season.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Houston - Out of the PO race officially. Still, they will want to play hard for their last few games, so we can't relax. We need this win BIG TIME. It should be an easy one for us, so hopefully we won't take it lightly. They've still got Yao, so Miller will have his hands full. I'll let you pick the TDM and LW-VC candidates.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
We miss you piksi. I'm way to optimistic to be writing this post.

The one that they have beaten 2 times was the old KINGS. Let's see who's tougher. Lucky for them they didn't have a taste of venom of the "New Kings". We'll just have to give it to them tomorrow.

You know what guys we should create another award - the TCA! The Clippers Award is for the team/s who gets to be owned every season. Or we can't do that.

hey west gunslinger im half filipino myself but reside in australia cuz my dads aussie, and i just recently came back form there.. loved it! specially eastwood and magic kingdom!

just wondering are there any kings jerseys there that are not authentic? cuz its too expensive here...

You did a nice job even though you were late;). It's a big game, we can have 2 game threads although posting in both could be tricky.

i like what you said about teams having film on us. They have a little but, it won't do much good as we do something different every night. Some nights we space and move the ball well. Some nights we rebound well. Some nights we are just awesome defensivly. Look at the team lines for the Clippers game and tell me how we won.

Eastwood is the best! Katips, (Katipunan --where Ateneo and Miriam College are located) is great too. I'm always there (well, I am when I'm in the Philippines for vacation)

Kings jerseys are hard to find in the Philippines. They have jerseys but they're knock offs. Haven't really found one that's good and is cheaper if I buy it there than here in the U.S.

I live near houston , so i will be able to watch this on Fsn southwest .

I HATE THE ROCKETS ALONG WITH THE MAVS AND LAKERS !

 I got ALL excited when I read that! We VERY often get the Rockets' games on Foxsports in Louisana. I had forgotten abou it. I checked the listings as quickly as I could, just KNOWING that I was going to get to see the game - NOPE!!! Poker will be on:mad: . Oh well, I know for sure that I will get to see us beat the Hornets, so I'll just have to be content with just listening online.
