Watching this team for the rest of the year is not going to be for the faint of heart. They aren't going to miraculously get better because of a new coach, especially at this point. Either watch and hope for some small sparks of things to be positive/hopeful about, or take up some kind of hobby to pass the time. The Kings are going to stink for the rest of the year and it's not gonna be pretty.
Our 'Remarkable Play of the Game' was a very nice wrap-around pass from Bobby Brown to JT for the slam.
What I'd like to see is our coach/management to see that we are not going to be winning many games, so if they want to give the fans a lot of 'Remarkable Plays' as well as some sort of hope for the future it would be great to actually play the young guys significant minutes together.
Tonights minute distribution:
Spencer - 25 minutes
JT - 17 minutes
vs. Brad - 34 minutes & Moore 18 minutes.
Greene - DNP
vs. Salmons 35 minutes, Garcia - 30 minutes, & Jackson 30 minutes
I do not want to see Bobby Jackson get so many minutes, especially at the 2 spot when he's guarding someone 5 inches taller than him. Move Garcia/Salmons over to the 2 spot and let Greene get some minutes at the 3 spot. We lost the game anyway, so why not give Greene some playing time.
Losing the game is not frustrating because I'm expecting the losses. Not seeing the kids play is incredibly frustrating because I keep getting my hopes up for each game that we might actually see a concerted effort made by management to see them get significant playing time to build towards our future.
I can take the rookie mistakes, the occasional blow-out, and losing close games because our guys are young and haven't yet learned how to win. What I'm having a hard time with is our coaches not playing the kids when it's absolutely clear that our vets are not able to get it done.
