[Game] Kings v Lakers - 4/26/12

I think Tyreke should be here playing the way he is now. What do you want? All World?

Well he's finally involved, which took MT getting injured and his agent coming to town to happen. Imagine if Smart coached and treated Reke, the same as Cuz. One person he goes out of his way to give huge mins to, and to feed him the ball constantly, no matter how much he's converting, and the other gets to stand in the corner and spend huge mins on the bench. Just imagine if Smart wasn't so stupid as to divide his top two players with the way he coaches and treats them here,as he did in GS last year as well with Monta and Steph.

Agreed. Maybe Reke's bros or agent can knock some sense into Smart so he can share the wealth with Reke & DMC. For all I care, I want both of them to be All World

Grant and Jerry don't understand how IT isn't ranked in the top 3 as rookies. Well, be prepared to be disappointed. Just saw an ESPN 1st and 2nd team article today which had IT a 2nd all-rookie member. Saw an article last week on ESPN about rookies with the brightest future, and IT didn't make the list which included 10 rookies, nor honorable mention.

And now no one else in the league knows much, because he isn't getting the same hype nationally as he gets in Sac. Means a lot when that comes from the mouth of a member of arguably the worst FO in the league, and Grant. IT is good, but I think a number in the Kings FO and Grant/Jerry will look pretty foolish when he doesn't become an All Star or the next Nash.

So I'm down in Southern California which is a pain when it comes to the Kings playing either the Lakers or the Clippers because I'm forced to watch the local broadcast as my League Pass blocks out the game.

For the first time ever, the Laker announcers weren't horribly irritating, and I think a lot of it stems from the fact that they knew they were going to get pounded in this game, so the commentary was pretty loose.

Anyway, I think they might have mentioned IT one time, at the start of the broadcast, saying that he was a good pick-up for the last pick in the draft. That's it, no gushing on and on about the wonders of IT during the actual game. They certainly did not mention anything regarding potential Rookie of the Year considerations.
I don't think that IT had that great of a game, but I'd imagine that IT was compared to Nash/Stockton at least once by Grant/Jerry in the game.

I'm going to admit that the lack of IT hype was a bit refreshing, which is sad considering I was listening to the Laker broadcast. Now they did focus most of their attention on Cousins and basically said there wasn't anyone on the court who could stop him, and also said they would have liked to see him and Bynum go at it at least once this year.
