A local site is sending Lakers in a chase of Trae Young or Donovan Mitchell …
Hope they can’t land neither haha
lakers and there fans think they can just trade for anyone. They are about 4 assets short of being able to get either of those guys

Jerry likes Jalen Smith. Any thoughts on him?
I was listening to the no dunks podcast and they are raptors fans for those that don’t know and were expecting Chris Boucher being available for cheap. How about a trade for some of our smaller contracts for some size? He has 2 years and 22ish mil left on his deal.
Both are solid but solid isn't an answer. Lyles, Domas, Len, Keegan, and Sasha is more than enough at the F/C spot. Unless someone like Lyles or Sasha were moved the minutes aren't there.

I'd snap call for Deni. He's a dude that just erupts on a good team with all the elite skills he's shown the last few years.
I think Jerry sees Smith as an eventual Barnes replacement. He favors big forward/centers like Naz Reid and Bobby Portis. I could see him getting there, he is potentially prime for a breakout and is only 23. I don’t think Indiana trades him though became he is signed for 5 mil a year and they prob see him as a long term back up to Siakam.
Boucher has flaws but has length that could help us. I was thinking if it was basically a give away, say Duarte and Kessler or something.
I've always liked Jalen Smith. Would be an interesting get. At this point though he would be more of a rotational big. I wouldn't see him as a starter. Also uncertain of what we would send out. Maybe Davion, a 2nd and cap filler?
Any thoughts on Poku?
He's inactive at OKC and not due to injury, so they don't even view him as a top 15 player on their team.
They basically said he's not playing because (as a team) we've been healthy.
Seems to fit Monte's MO. Getting pieces at fair price that he feels can grow/contribute.
Amick said on the Athletic pod that he thinks the kings interest in Kuzma is real but David Aldridge said the Wiz want a package better than the Siakam deal. Nope
Should have just paid more in the summer and let Barnes go
Money wasn’t the issue according to a few media guys, he wanted to be option 1 or 1a so he stayed in Wash
Poku would be an interesting development project, but as coach Brown has already demonstrated, he likes veterans that already knows how to play. Ultra hard for non-established players to break into the regular rotation.
Just ask Colby, Kessler, Keon, and Mitchell how hard it is to earn regular minutes from Brown. he would get sporadic minutes at best.

And even with the Wiz playing poorly, there still isn't a better team for Kuzma to be on than the Wizards. Suck into a few good picks, don't blow them, and they have a decent talent core moving forward. The issue for them is there is only space for one of Poole and Kuzma long term. Having two players with questionable shot selection and iffy bball IQ's is going to work when it comes to collection top 5 picks though.
For some reason I think the Kings will make a smaller move for a 2nd tier guy like Detroit's Bojan Bogdanovic or DFS. I don't see Monte meeting the asking price of 3 1st rounders for any of the bigger names like Kuzma, Grant or Murray.
If it’s a small move it needs to be Thybull who fits and can actually grow with the core. Small move and we’re not contenders so wasting assets on a 34 year old Bojan or soon to be 31 year old DFS shouldn’t happen if we’re giving up even one first round pick
the problem is he is what 28? Coulibali is super raw and probably 2 years away. Deni is good but he hasn’t made a huge leap yet and doesn’t fit with Bilal due to the shooting. Kuz should command decent return either this year or next because he might have the best big contract in the league (non star). Most teams want Kuz as a 3rd or 4th guy and the sooner he accepts that the more valuable he will be.

Hahah sounds goodThey’ll get Donovan Mitchell for Gabe Vincent, Luol Deng’s pension, leftover Kendrick Nunn jerseys, and a lottery protected 2050 first round pick
