Kings Tickets Warning!!!

G-League
Ok...So last night I went to the game at Arco Arena to watch the kings game! Well, I purchased tickets over the phone from Ticketmaster! They were $24.00 a ticket! Since I had never be to a kings game I was unaware they sold SRO tickets! Anywayz I got to the game and come to find out the tickets I purchased were for standing tickets meaning I had to stand the whole game in a square and watch it! Plus it was another sell out so I couldn't upgrade!

I wanted to tell everyone be so careful when purchasing tickets from ticketmaster! Make sure the tickets do not say SRO! Just a warning....

Yes, SRO does stand for Standing Room only. At least you were IN ARCO, only paid 24 dollars AND were close to the refreshments and the bathrooms, and no one was kicking the back of your chair;)

...or some kid didn't throw-up behind you.

Eww...did that really happen?

I've had SRO tickets once. It's actually not that bad (read Kingsgurl's post). Plus, when the game's exciting, you're already standing and don't need to worry about blocking someone behind ya. ;)

Yeah, I wouldn't mind doing SRO, but I can see how it wouldn't be a pleasant surprise if you thought you had purchased actual seats.

Ihave had SRO tix many times and had a ball. It is not unusual for there to be empty seats near by so often I have not had to stand, but like other posters said, your at the game, you are already up and near the heads and snax.

I love SRO tickets. I am rarely "in my seat" at a Kings game anyway....constantly jumping up. I am always being told to "sit please" by people behind me. :o

ive only been to one NBA game and i had seats...but i don't like the idea of HAVING to stand the whole time...i mean if you are standing up and you HAVE seats...you always have the opportunity of sitting down...i think with SRO tix just the mere THOUGHT of not getting sit down but annoy me more than standing up for the whole game...did that make sense?

i thought when you order tix off ticketmaster that it told you if it was SRO or not???? Maybe thats just with concerts....

Sorry kingsgrly10. :(

Back in the day we would go to the arena and buy SRO and then watch the first half and scope the lower levels for a chain of empty seats. Usually just two seats together. When we saw (by halftime) that a certain chain of seats hadn't been filled we wouldd just walk right down and sit there with no problems.

I probably wouldn't try that nowadays but it worked back when I was a teenager. More ballsy back then I think.

Yea we looked for open seats but there weren't four seat together! So it kinda stunk since all i wanted for my bday was kings tickets then i got these! My dad called Ticketmaster today and hes gonna try and get another set of tickets! that aren't SOR lol!

If I might make a small suggestion? Perhaps your Dad should try Ticketmaster Online? That way, you can view the seating chart as you buy the tickets, therefore avoiding unpleasant surprises:) Or arm him with ARCO's seating chart for his telephone adventure.

Yeah, the last game I went to. But, you know, I really didn't care. I don't have kids but I have nieces and nephews and understand that you really can't stop some things from happening with little kids.

Nowadays whenever I get SRO tickets, I just look at it as my "general admission" in to the arena and spend most of the time in the ever crowded, but better than just standing in your designated numbered square ARCO "cantina" ;)

Yea thanx for the tip we actually were looking at the seating chart when we bought the tickets and there is no spot on there for SRO tickets so i had no clue lol! Oh well! It is kinda funny in a way lol!

You didn't find any open seats below? Play the ole ooops these are your seats? Sorry my first time here :) I am a section over how dumb of me.

Yea my dad and my brother did that then the people showed up! Oh well atleast it was a good game! I love Kings Basketball! The people next to us who also had SRO tickets were very upset too and they bought their tickets online! I hope the kings get that new arena and no SRO seats lol! Oh well what can we do now!

Well any place in Arco are good seats but the SRO seats are located at the very top behind all the upper level seats! The squares are like 12x14 inches! Very small lol!

also, b4 the game, r u allowed to go to the bottom and get pictures of the players cuz I know when I was at MCI Center when the Kings played the Wizards, they wouldn't let us go to the bottom :(

Um yea you can go by the court...but I dont think you can take pictures since cameras are not allowed in Arco but people take them in anyways I still would not try! Arco is the best except for SRO seating lol!!!!

You can take pictures I'm pretty sure, just no flash photography. I could be wrong about that though.

hmmmm...i wonder why MCI didn't allow us to go to the bottom...I guess they have different rules for different arenas....ok...another question...lol( sorry i'm asking alot of questions but this SRO thing is kinda interesting..never really heard of it before in an arena) ok, is everybody packed together in one little square or can you move and go somewhere else?

Okay, at the very top level, behind the top row of seats, they have marked the floor with #'s. You can stand right behind that seat. You must stand in your own area. If everyone crowded together, then no one could walk by behind you. However, you can wander around up on the top level. There are concession stands, a bar (the cantina), the bathrooms, etc., so it is not like you have to stand in your spot all the time.

There is one square per person! They are very small! Your legs start to hurt come the 4th quarter! lol!

I am over 50 years old, and I never even noticed that I was standing that long. :D
