Kings - The dumbest team in the NBA?

#1
Don't get me wrong, I love the Kings, but they just seem to enjoy making the stupidest mistakes throughout the game(s) and more noticeable at the end of the game(s).

Leaving players for wide open 3 pointers, the point guard ball-hogging the ball, not calling time outs. I know its been talked about constantly here on the boards, but its just so frustrating seem them play like this.

There is so much to rant about, but I guess this is the way the whole season is going to be like, so I guess all we can do is enjoy the wins (as few as they might be) and be indifferent at the loses.

<3 them kings.

They didn't call a time out because they know what to do and didn't want to give Charlotte's defense time to discuss and adjust. But I have seen alot of unforced turnovers.

The dumbest team by far...

I've watched many basketball games this year, and I haven't seen a team commit as many stupid turnovers or take as many bad shots as the kings do at the end of a game. When are they going to wake up? And I know most of it falls on the players, but at some point you have to look at the coaching. When are Miller and Bibby going to start guarding someone. My son's 2nd grade team plays better defense than they do.
On another point, does Peja really thing he's going to get 11-13 million next year? I have yet to see the guy take and hit a big shot in the last few minutes of a game. Can you imagine where we would be without Bonzi and Rahim right now?

Obviously they didn't know what to do. Bibby just dribbled and shot a terrible shot form about 40 feet out. If he had called time they could have scipted a play and in bound the ball from their side of the court instead of wasting time dribbling around. Pretty dumb play IMHO.

So you expect logic and good play after 52+ minutes of something else?

It was a crippled Charlotte Bobcats team, not the Spurs or the Pistons. They NEVER should have been in that position anyway. To argue about whether or not Bibby should have called a time out at the end of that fiasco is pretty dumb in and of itself, if you ask me.

If you think the Kings are the dumbest team, or as I prefer to call it "the team with the lowest basketball IQ", then you haven't seen the Atlanta Hawks play yet.

I've seen them beat the Kings before. :(

Probably the players are as frustrated of loosing as we, the fans are. Reagrless of that, given the caliber of players on the current roster, it just seems like they are content with their performance. (from a tv viewer pov)

No, they're not content at all. But they probably know better than we that their current mix isn't a recipe for anything resembling a good, cohesive, dynamic team.

You must not have seen them play either. The Hawks have beaten some impressive teams.

If he had been instructed to call time, I'm sure he would have.

I realize I sound like a broken record on this one, but the insistance on blaming Mike Bibby for last night's loss just boggles the mind.

I think it must be a variation of the "He who smelt it dealt it" rule...

;)

Those last 4 seconds of overtime weren't the icing on the cake. They weren't the plastic candle holders on the icing on the cake. They weren't even the candles in the plastic candle holders on the icing on the cake. And, they weren't the dripping wax from the candles in the plastic candle holders on the icing on the cake. They were - if anything - the blister on the finger you got from the dripping wax from the candle in the plastic candle holder on the icing on the cake...

But it's easier just to blame the cake.

I have absolutely no idea what this means, but I want cake.

I agree with you but I'm not sure if it's a reasonable thing to call the Kings dumb when they have no playmakers or any kind of Defenders the blame goes to Geoff for that.

We are not dumbest team in the nba there is the Hawks, tor and etc. So i don't think we are the dumbest.
For you, and those bashing the Hawks... It's more fun to be a Hawks fan right now. Won last of their 4 out of 6 games, including wins over Spurs, Cleveland, and Denver. Young, and not expected to get anywhere, so every win is so much more enjoyable. And Joe Johnson finally making their GM look like a genious.

It's going to take more than 6 games to prove that he's worth the ridiculous contract he signed.
