Greetings, fellow Kings fans!
Well, it may not have been perfect, but Reggie Theus' debut as our coach was fun and it was a clue, I think, to the type of atmosphere the team and the fans are going to share this season.
Yes, it was just one pre-season game but we saw a much more focused TEAM and we saw our veterans playing as though they really wanted to be there.
Tonight's game should be interesting, to say the least, as some of the camp invitees still have yet to step foot on the court for some game time.
For those of you who may be new, this is the Kingsfans.com play-by-play thread. I make no attempt to hide my bias - I'm a Kings fan to the bone - but I'm also a fan of the game of basketball so I do my best to give you an idea of what I'm seeing on the court as it takes place. Mistakes occasionally happen so if I don't get a name right or occasionally lose track of the score momentarily, it's just part of the whole deal.
Kingsfans.com is the #1 Sacramento Kings online community. When you come to KF, we want you to feel welcome. We're a little different than a lot of sports message boards, but we have some of the most knowledgeable fans you'll find anywhere.
We're here because of the generosity and dedication of our board owner. You won't see pop-ups or a lot of ads. If you want to help defray the costs of keeping it that way, you should consider becoming a Contributing Member. We do offer a few bonuses for Contributing Members, such as periodic group tickets for games, larger avatars, AND the satisfaction of knowing you're helping to keep us up and running.
If you want to discuss the game while it's on, feel free to join in our discussion thread. This thread is more of a narrative than anything else, so I ask that people not use it for ongoing discussion. The PBP thread came to be because of our members who, for whatever reason, cannot see the game live and wanted a way to follow the action that was more personalized that what you can find on nba.com or yahoo, etc.
So, settle down and get ready for another night of Kings basketball!
GO KINGS!!!
