Greetings from the frozen north, fellow Kings fans!!

;)

Yes, it's snowing and cold... and I shouldn't expect anything less this time of year. It's a relief to see, actually, as I've grown used to having snow on the ground in the winter and it just doesn't seem right without it at least occasionally.

Tonight's game is being touted on the radio as a Summer Fling or something like that at Arco. I guess they're going to be serving summer drinks, etc. I like the idea of theme nights. Might as well make the whole Arco experience as much fun as possible.

The game Wednesday was interesting, to say the least. IMHO there is no shame in losing to the Boston Celtics. They are a TEAM, while we are a team. One thing I truly liked was the hustle and heart. I don't mind not seeing too much of Hawes as he was so clearly outclassed. Let him get a couple of toes in the water before we toss him into the deep end of the pool.

I've got coffee brewed and I'm sure I'll be making more during the day. This is one of those Fridays when I don't have to leave the house, so I'll be drinking coffee, keeping the wood stove nice and full and just enjoying the day.

I look for a good game tonight.

GO KINGS!!!

Grant confirming tonight that Kevin will be practicing with the team on the road next week, which could lead to him being back in uniform when the Kings return home to face the Magic on Jan. 8.

As an aside, Kayte Christensen did a half-time feature again, this time interviewing Mikki Moore. And it didn't stink... ;)

As often as I complain about a lot of the stuff MSE does, I think the addition of Kayte to the crew was a real plus. She's smart, she's got basketball knowledge and she's not afraid to point out weaknesses of the team. She seems to relate well to the players and isn't reduced to asking "What's your favorite color?" questions.

Nice move, MSE. Now KEEP HER AROUND!!!
