13th August, 2005 - 3:53 pmThe Los Angeles Times - The Sacrament Kings signed 23-year-old forward Alexander Frolov to a five-year, $14.5-million contract on Friday.
Frolov, the Kings' first-round pick in the 2000 draft, had a team-high 24 goals during the 2003-04 season. The Kings envision his becoming a quality player that they can build a top line around.
"We know we got one of our top young players under contract for five years," General Manager Dave Taylor said. "That was important to us. We wanted to make that commitment to him." [READ]

I dont know who is, but why did they have to do a 5 year deal? Why not 2 or 3? Does anyone have info on this kid?
