March has a HORRIBLE stretch. 5 games on the road, home for one game and then over to Phoenix? Seven games in 10 days, with almost contant travel is not gonna be fun.

What is this, three years in a row now opening up on the road. Maybe in 2010 we can open up in our new arena (Fingers Crossed).

Once again the Kings open on the road... Last game against LA, that could very well end up being a very important game...

Of course the at Detroit game gets on ESPN. ;)

Not as worried about playing Detroit (any time, not because of Ron/Ben not being a factor with them, just incase anyone thinks that) now that Ben Wallace is gone. They're still a good team, but they drop down one or two levels now, and lose a huge presence.

On a side note, the league quietly got around no Artest/Ben Wallace w/ Detroit game. I don't think it'll be as much now anyways, and maybe even see a sign of "ok" acknowledgement at the first game.

At least it's not back-to-back opening on the road like last year...

No lakers till January but twice in April and also the last game of the regular season at ARCO

december and march look pretty brutal. let the how many games will we win threads begin.

december is not that bad, considering they peppered in enough winnable games amongst the hard ones.

march has that brutal road stretch, but since it's against some of the lower-level teams in the east, not too bad.

i think i like this schedule better than the last few seasons.

Think he means where the two teams are in the standings. If it's close, then it's important, if it's not close, then it's not an important game.

Must we face Dallas & San Antonio back to back on the road? I also see us facing NO and then Dallas the next night and I think I was Memphis and then SA the next night. I remember a week before we got Artest we faced Dallas/SA back to back on the road and then I think Phoenix after 1 day rest on the road.

Do schedule makers intentionally try to schedule losses? I mean how many teams will beat Dallas and SA back to back on the road??? 5 road games in a row in under a week in mid March is crazy as well. Is there any rules to fairness with the schedule making? Do other teams face this thing, or do playoff teams face the harder schedule compared to bottom dwelling teams?

I'll never forget how we turning things around almost immediately once we added Artest (wasn't it around 1-3 games where we started winning again)? I remember that road trip was brutal mid way through the season. I'm sure liking the last game against the Lakers here at Arco. I'm sure the rivalry had the schedule makers schedule that one.

not much teams can do against san antonio and dallas, they're right next to each other (make it any combination of the texas triangle). i'd think the schedulers would put most teams against golden state then sacramento, just based on traveling, but no one complains cuz it's the warriors. :)

Any word on the preseason games. I know that they are not really important, but I love them just so I can say they are finally playing!!!

I'll update the schedule as information becomes available.

:)

Darn it...only one JAzz game in SLC. I only get to see the Kings play once at the Delta Center that means! Oh well! Guess I'll have to suffice with National TV, and the games I go to with my dad when I'm home for the holidays! But I love going to Jazz games and having people from my own religion get mad at me for rooting fo the KIngs! It's hilarious!

Kings have 22 nationally televised games !

But 6 of 22 are on NBA TV .

Because of Artest .

We're back on the map baby! Hopefully we make a good showing! With Artest though, you know this team is gonna play hard! I'm especially stoked for the opportunity to see Artest and Martin try to stick DWade on TNT Dec. 7th! That should be fun!

only two of the four kings-lakers games are on "real" national tv...I don't count NBA TV... this angers Viking

^ yeah, i'd rather have the back to backs over the longer road trip. once your momentum gets derailed on those long swings, you're screwed.

I saw 10-3 or 9-4 at worst for the first month...Chi Mem SA DET are the only teams that it would be understandable if we lost to. And We could easiy beat Det.
