Hall of Famer
The Kings play 16 games in March. 6 home games, 10 road games. Luckily a lot of the games are against Eastern conference opponents, and teams that the Kings can beat, some of which they already have (New Orleans x2, Minnesota x2, New York, Brooklyn, Toronto) also Including three games against some of the worst teams in the league, the Bucks two times, and a game against the blatant tankers, the 76ers. The only problem is some of these games are part of a seven game road trip, yikes.

This is a very difficult one to guess, with Spurs and OKC being the only 2 really tough games in the month

3/1 - vs Minnesota L
3/3 - vs New Orleans W
3/5 - @ Milwaukee W
3/7 - @ Toronto L
3/9 - @ Brooklyn L
3/11 - @ Detroit L
3/12 - @ Philadelphia W
3/15 - @ Chicago L
3/16 - @ Minnesota L
3/18 - vs Washington W
3/21 - vs San Antonio L
3/23 - vs Milwaukee W
3/26 - vs New York L
3/28 - @ Oklahoma City L
3/29 - @ Dallas L
3/31 - @ New Orleans

Currently 5-10

You could make a case for games against Chicago, Washington, Minnesota, Brooklyn, Toronto or Dallas being a likely win in January. February team lose those every time. So along with Spurs and OKC those are almost automatic losses for now, until the team shows real signs of life.

I can't predict. I don't know the mood of some of our key players, I don't know who will be on the team, I don't like the way the season is evolving, I just don't know. I was thinking of starting a thread asking for suggestions on how to maintain interest. Sure I'll watch the games but I am losing interest as to the outcome. If I thought there was a purpose, maybe I would be more interested. This "let's play the young guys" seems so far to be false as Landry gets more minutes and IT dominates the ball. How are young guys going to learn anything? Being on the court with IT teaches nothing

Not in a good mood about this team but thank goodness I don't live and die with the team.

I can delete this note if people don't think I am playing the game properly. Bring on TDOS. :)

The poll results so far showing how down everyone is on the team right now lol. Nobody has picked them to go over .500 even with the easiest month they have had all year

It also shows that a lot of people aren't voting, myself included. There have been 84 thread views so far and only 11 votes. I think a number of us just aren't thinking about wins and losses right now.

I don't see this as an easy month. We have 10 road games (including our longest road trip of the year) and only 3 home games against losing teams. Minnesota and Washington are both in the middle of their best stretches of the season so they're better than their record would indicate right now. I count only 5 games that we should win (depending on what happens with Anthony Davis I guess -- assuming he's playing, I have us at 1-1 against them in March with each team winning at home). It's those road games that kill it for me. Some of those are winnable for us in theory but we're 8-19 on the road so far. I'm not optimistic that percentage is going to improve at this point. Milwaukee and Philly are gimmes. I've got the rest as losses and only New Orleans was a hard decision.

Then again, none of that really refutes your point about people being down on the team right now. I guess it's just business as usual for me. I've been down on the team all season. Still hoping for good things in the future though. (come on Draft Lottery! given enough chances we're bound to get our numbers called once right?!)

Of course wins and losses aren't really important for the rest of the season (besides for team morale). but it's fun to guess

The team isn't.

The team has played close to .500 ball with Cousins, Thomas and Gay and I don't see why it can't continue. Actually I can but why focus on the negatives. Hoping the new guy shows something that makes us want him back next year. Hoping for improved defense. They seem to have spurts of defense more often and they seem to last longer unless. Baby steps. Hoping to they go into the off season on a good note and leave fishing until then.

Your optimism is too bright for some...

Is it me or everytime we go one of these things just go completely downhill? As long we put in the effort we saw in the first half of the Lakers game I honestly don't care if we go 0-17 just give me a reason to watch.

The way the team is playing I would only feel comfortable betting on them for the home games against Bucks and Knicks. This will be a critical month in the direction of the team and their draft position. Hopefully at the end of the month we have more confidence in our youngins as well

2-1 so far, watch out league!

Admin, how do i close the poll so people can no longer vote now that the month is 3 games deep?

Anyone think we'll get to 30 wins this year? If so, will you consider it a good season if we get 30+ wins?
To me no matter the win total this season for the most part the effort and desire to win from a large number of the group has not been there consistantly enough for me to ever consider this a good season. It's a season if you look back and ask the players we have did you give the most of have 90% of the time I doubt more than 2-3 could say yeah. Hopefully over these last 20 or so games we can build a winning/giving max effort culture to build momentum into next season.

I can live with losses I cannot accept not trying your best.

Yes, I think we'll get to 30 wins. I think that a 30-win season is really tough to consider "good". If we finish strong we may have plenty of optimism for next year, but to call this year a "good season"...I think we'd have to get to more like 40 wins (and that would be a huge finish) before I could start considering that word.

I agree that thirty is do-able, and I also agree that it would be hard to reconcile anything less than forty wins, which is only nominally mathematically possible, as being "good." With that said, anything over thirty-two would have to be considered "encouraging," because that would mean we went > .500 down the stretch.

I'm actually on the flip side on here. Hitting 30 wins is sort of a barrier that has eluded us the last 4 years. Normal standards, it of course is not a successful season. But for us (or me at least) it's a sign of finally at least approaching the corner. Of finally being on the right path to building a winning team. Of not needing to win the lottery to save us from the cellars.

That's exactly why I'd consider 30 agood season for us, at least in terms of number of wins. It's been a long time since we hit 30 wins.

I enjoy seeing the Kings play. The better they play the more I enjoy it.

I didn't vote but not for the lack of interest in the Kings.

I don't seem to get bored but too frequently disappointed. I like the players, our players, so there there is play that interests me all the time. I don't know how I would handle being a Spurs fan all these years. It might even be boring. Never had the experience.

I didn't know how March is going to go but looking forward to tonight's game with the Raptors and hopeful of good play and a win for us.

The next four games are an interesting stretch, as the more beatable teams are each on the second night of the back to back.
