Top o' the morning, fellow Kings fans! (And for you 49er fans, it's a good day...so far.)
Winter is definitely on its way here in the forest. Temperatures are dropping into the 30s at night and most mornings I wake up to the sight of "fairy castles" poking up between the carpet of pine needles. (If you don't know what I'm talking about, I'll try and get some pictures. Basically, they're little ice structures that are pushed up out of the ground when the temperature drops. I don't have a clue about the science behind them - I just know they glisten like diamonds in the morning sun.)
The team has had several days rest so hopefully Mike will continue to do his Mighty Mouse impression, saving the day despite being banged up.
I've got a nice garlic chowder simmering in the crockpot. One thing about this particular recipe - I can pretty much guarantee there will be NO vampire attacks anywhere in the Plumas Forest.
Even though Q & R may have been defeated, you may want to check out the New Arena forum. One of our members, Mike0476, has done some research and found some old Bee articles in the Sac State archives that have some good information. Thanks, Mike0476!
Remember, everything here at Kingsfans.com is possible because of the unending dedication and generosity of our board owner, JGar. If you would like to help defray the costs of keeping Kingsfans.com up and running as the #1 Sacramento Kings Online Community, then please consider becoming a Contributing Member. It isn't required, of course, but it is greatly appreciated.
As usual, we have piksi's game discussion thread already underway. If you haven't checked it out, you need to do so. Once you get used to reading our resident piksimist's comments, you'll wonder how you ever got along without them! And during the game, it's a great place for you to post your reactions.
We also have chat over at mIRC, hosted by our Mr. S£im Citrus. It's at server irc.bludgeon.org and channel #kingsfans. We had a pretty good group in there last time and we're looking for more people to join in the fun.
The fun here at Kingsfans.com doesn't end with the final buzzer. You'll want to stick around and wait for Bricklayer to hand out his grades for the game.
Now, I'm going to make sure all my Kings items are in their proper places for the game. I have my purple slippers and my Kings blankey so all I have to do now is wait for game time!
GO KINGS!!!!!
