Sacramento Kings On SI

The Sacramento Kings are in the midst of an offseason where nothing should be off the table, including trading a fan favorite and young guard in a drastic trade to reshape the roster. The Magic are coming off an impressive season where they battled through injuries to finish with 41 wins, but faltered in the first round of the playoffs, falling in five games to the Boston Celtics.

lol the TDS and Devin swap part of the trade is wholly unnecessary and entirely just because the author prefers one guy over the other lmao

Yeh if we trade Monk, we need Devin. TDS looks like he is going to be a good pro, I’m sure a soon to be very expensive Magic team is going to need cheap wing depth

What, we can't trade away every player on the team capable of playing PG?

I much prefer Vecenie's Isaac+16 for Monk idea.
I’m not entire opposed to KCP being on the team but he’s honestly sort of redundant with Keon already on the team (not that you can ever really have too many good perimeter defenders)

I don't hate KCP, but he's never really sent me to my happy place. Isaac would be great for cleaning up after Domas in the paint. Fills more of a need even if he's not really going to be a scorer at any kind of volume.

Exactly. KCP is literally another Keon defensively with maybe a little more ability to guard up. The Kings need more body you up types like Carter, not handsy defenders. Handsy defenders are always a few quick whistles from sitting when the games that actually count start in, kind of just what happened to Keon in the play in. That's not the trick right now. Right now it's back to players that can play defense with their chest. The Caruso's, Dorts, Nesmiths, Whites, etc.

Ya I’m not trading monk for anything Orlando is willing to give up Issac isn’t good rather target Dallas and get Washington or Gafford if Sabonis is traded

That’s the return id expect for Monk as a standalone…and I’m not sure I even take that with no other ball handling guard on the roster.

Definitely not adding Carter.
