Well, Nuggets are a top 4 team in WC IMO and the Kings got a lesson today. Kings played some selfish basketball for long swaths of the game which is the most (only?) annoying part about this loss.

I did like JJs aggression on both O and D. But he tends to flash these types of games from time to time and then back to invisible...

Giles is frustrated. I hope his confidence does not take a hit. Gobert, AD, Adams, Jokic. That is rough welcome to the NBA. Should he play PF?

My take is we beat OKC at home (in their opener) with Westbrook. We had a brutal opening stretch. Fox was tired. The team at this stage, on the road was tired. We’re young! These kids. Yes kids are learning the ropes in roles they’ve never had officially held to start a season with for the first time. We just played teams with gigantic established big men and playoff teams in the west.

We’re better I think than we thought. Even Joergers coaching looks adjusted in a good way so far. So far haha.

This next stretch of games will be key. I have faith.

Elevation. It’s real. Look at the missed free throws.

Buddy is soft. Any time a player gets into his chest, he shrivels. Booker dominates him. Harris destroyed him tonight. Need Bogie back ASAP so Buddy goes to the bench, where he should be.

Imagine Bogie + Lavine on this squad. Fire power.

Bagley. Dudes accelerating each game.

Bagley played terrific and I thought WCS played a grown man's game, the Kings have to play Bagley imo @C defensively (when paired with Harry) until Giles gets stronger in a couple years he's got nothing for any C in the NBA defensively, he's got zero explosiveness around the rim to bother anyone and get overpowered easily where as Bags can bother them with explosiveness.

I know Frank played well but to me Yogi should have played more his defense is great I thought when the game was in the balance he was barely out on the floor.

I have to admit being on the Eastern side of the country made watching this game difficult. In the second half when Jamal Murray caught fire and the Nuggets went up 23 points, I went to bed. Laying in the bed I check the box score every once in awhile and the game updates just to make sure I didn't need to run back and turn the TV on.

There were things I definitely liked. Bagley continues to look great and seems to get better with every game. You can tell he still learning defensive assignments and I think regardless of his production that will keep him out of the starting lineup for a while.

I don't like Shumpert always looking to get his but anytime Buddy and Fox are having poor shooting nights I don't mind him throwing up a few like he did tonight.

Willie continue to look good offensively but I think 75% of all centers in the NBA look poor defensively against Jokic. Unfortunately the Kings bigs looked horrible, especially poor Harry.

I think we have definitely found the offensive game plan for this team. I even believe the defense will improve as the season goes on because the Kings have two or three great individual Defenders on the team, and once Harry beefs up and Marvin catches up and Bogdan heals up, this could easily be a top 20 defense this season.

i didn't expect to see Harry struggling this much. I actually thought he would be one of the better players after hearing what teammates said about him last year. He is playing center and looks like a SF. The looks on his face and actions on court. I don't think Harry's elevator goes all the way to the top

It’s not just a size issue for me, which is big, but I’ve been disappointed with how he’s competed, on and off ball defensively. Someone who is thought to have “dawg” in him, needs to step up

The refs don't allow for "dawgs" anymore. The whistle gets blown as soon as any type of aggression on defense is shown.

I've been ringing this bell for a while. Giles needs to play PF. He's way undersized and doesn't have the athleticism to make up for it. Bagley isn't strong enough for the center position yet either but he's better equipped for it at the moment.

This year we've gone up against size at the C position so far - Gobert, Davis, Adams, Jokic. I think it's pretty clear that Giles simply cannot hang with those guys, and unless he puts on serious muscle, he probably never will. I'm not sure Bagley so much better equipped to make him viable at C either. I think both of those guys are PFs who are just going to get taken advantage of if forced to play against an NBA-size center. Which is all the more reason to consider keeping WCS around, and to actually want to play Koufos when he comes back from injury.
