[Game] Kings @ Nuggets - 2/23/16 - 6 PT, 9 ET

It's not Mexico City, but we will get to see how well our team is in shape going against them in Denver.

Horrid thought. Our guys are getting off not one but two long off periods which should make them well rested but out of shape, well at least our main guy. Factor in high altitude and it could be bad. Come on, guys, show me I'm wrong! Go Kings!!

The answer to altitude, is run faster. Pace harder, and you will break through the wall at some point.

Or how about when you are the more talented team, slow the game down and let the talent level decide who wins the game rather than the conditioning.

You misspelled "in foul trouble."

Lauvergne was not in foul trouble in the second - he only had one foul. Additionally Jokic and Nurkic only had two apiece during that time frame, normally a guy doesn't get completely yanked in the first half before three fouls.

Cousins had gone 0-2 on Lauvergne in the first quarter and Lauvergne had blocked one of those shots. Cousins came back in in the second and immediately drew an and-1 on Lauvergne, who got yanked for Faried despite defending Cousins to 1-3 shooting. Cousins then went 4-4 on Faried in the final 5:20 of the half. Ultimately Lauvergne held Cousins to 3-10 in the game (mostly jumpers) while he was on the floor and committed two fouls for the game. While Denver was playing a center not named Lauvergne, Cousins went 9-10. On top of that, Lauvergne went for 22 and 7 in only 25 minutes. He definitely should have been on Cousins instead of Faried for the final 5:20 of the half.

One of my concerns for this game is that Denver was flopping constantly the other night. The refs weren't falling for it, but if they do tonight, Cousins might see a lot of time on the bench.

Unfortonatley, that is my fear every night when we play is how the refs will call the game around Cuz.

Speaking of the refs, tonight's officials are:

Sean Wright
Kane Fitzgerald
Eli Roe

I imagine Malone is going to go a different route and double/triple Boogie down low. HE needs to not force things and hit the open guys. Let's keep this momentum going.

The Kings will have Marco Belinelli back, and fellow reserve Omri Casspi practiced Monday after both were sidelined Friday because of tooth extractions during the break - yahoo

Casspi (mouth) is expected to play Tuesday against the Nuggets, James Ham of CSN Bay Area reports

It is good to see that Marco and Omri have soldieded on and will play despite having teeth extracted so recently. That makes us healthy and rested and at high altitude.
