Kings corner: Young Kings find their places in system

It finally seems like we've started to grasp some defensive concepts.
We're no longer getting pushed around, and we're playing a physical game, something we've needed for a long time.
Now that we're playing this type of defense and have a physical presence, I think we're capable of winning games.
We won four of five before losing that tough one (Friday night) in Phoenix, but we gave ourselves a chance to come back and win.
In the past, when we haven't had that mind-set, it has seemed like we wouldn't have had a chance to win that game.
Of course, I've got to give props to the young fellas, Kevin Martin and Francisco García. They've elevated their play. They had the first part of the season to get the kinks out and begin to feel comfortable.
You get into the league and you've played at a certain pace in college, but you get here, and it's a different pace. For Kevin, who didn't play a lot last season, it's like his rookie year. So it's taken him this time to get comfortable. 'Cisco has picked things up, and between the two of them, they've given us energy.
But we're in a good position to build some momentum going into the All-Star break.
