Kings Needs and Availability in the Draft (merged)

Ah, but there's the true beauty of the plan...

We don't want him to shut up. We want him to run his mouth. At least someone on the team would be saying SOMETHING.

;)

Yeah, maybe you're right because no one is saying anything with their play on the floor - excluding Bonzi.

See Future King Leon Powe (ESPN Now)

Cal at Kansas, in Kansas City. Leon Powe, PF for Cal is a force. Check him out. The Kings sure could use him.

what makes you think the kings want em?

oh, just a pipe dream. i'm a Cal grad and I love this kid. We could definitely use a player like him. Elton Brand-esque, but maybe a little more athletic. He has had knee surgeries, though, so he is a risk. But he could pay off huge.

What we need is a real superstaH n' leader. Let's get KG.

We have a thread about draft hopes, etc. I'm going to merge this with that one...

Powe has an NBA body, and he already looks like he is in his mid 30's. He also is a smart player and is a solid scorer and rebounder. But Elton Brand? That is a tremendous stretch. For one thing, Powe cannot jump. At all.

Yeah, I watched the first half, and Powe does not have much athleticism. He's crafty, and has a real big frame, but what about him is so different from Rahim? Besides age of course. He'd be nice as a big man off the bench, but that would mean he'd be a late first round pick at the highest. I don't know if he would come out if that's the kind of draft position he was looking at. Then again, his draft position won't get better considering the new age limit.

I would have preferred that we had gone after Frye or Diogu last year. They are going to be beasts.

No way we could of got them. They were going in the top 12 no doubt.

I love Ike though, he was so awesome at ASU. Can't wait to see him get more time. Frye has really come up and is playing consistently well for the Knicks, I like him.
