Greetings, fellow Kings fans!
Once again, the bizarre becomes the norm. First the Kings' plane is 10 hours late in taking off, putting them in New Orleans at an hour when I believe Bourbon Street was even asleep. And they still manage to put up a decent first half performance.
Then, however, in what you can almost predict nowadays, they came out after the half-time break and did ... well, nothing is probably a kind word. Whatever Musselman and his group of merry men are doing during half-time certainly isn't inspiring the team. When your top players don't even remember if there was a half-time speech, let alone what it consisted of, that's not a good sign...
So we manage to make it interesting right until the 25-second possession of the Hornets. Life - and NBA basketball - are just not fair.
One more thing? Congratulations to Eric Musselman for the most idiotic Technical I've ever seen. What a dumb thing to do...

It's cold and cloudy here in the forest, but still no precipitation to speak of. At least there's a little more moisture in the air so people aren't shocking each other because of excess static electricity. My cats are relieved - it got so every time I touched them sparks would jump.
Let's see what Scott Howard-Cooper has to say in today's Bee about the matchup against the Mavericks (and brace yourselves):
Let's review:
1. 6th game in 9 days (and a travel day from hell, to boot)
2. Kings have one win in American Airlines Center in their last 8 appearances
3. The game's key matchup is Kenny Thomas vs. Dirk Nowitzki
4. Mark Cuban is a jerk
5. Our team ship's rudder is made of silly putty.
Sorry, but we are doom-ed.

The intro today was done by venom_7, who did an able job as piksi's understudy. piksi claimed to have something else to do; I think he hit his head against his computer one too many times and he's blurred his vision - which might not be a bad thing to do if you're going to watch a Kings game.
I'd like to take a moment to thank all our loyal members for continuing to come and share their hopes, dreams, fears, nightmares, etc. about our beloved Kings. It's always a pleasure to log on and see a discussion going on - I almost feel like part of a 12-step program.
