Greetings, fellow Kings fans.

Talk about deja vu. :p Let's just hope tonight's game gives us the same satisfaction the Tuesday night game brought.

I personally would like nothing more than to see Jack Nicholson scowling as the game unfolds in Staples. Of course, I'm not expecting another win. I do want to see heart and hustle, energy and effort - and that could easily lead to us again having more points at the end of the night.

Time out and commercial break...

Okay, back to the PBP.

It's cold up here in the forest with significant snow forecast for the weekend. This is good news for us - and for all our ski resort friends further up the mountain. Let's hope the storms lay down a nice base of snow for them to build on.

I've got my (in)famous garlic chowder cooking on the stove and plenty of wood for the fire. This, to me, is truly NBA weather. Nothing better than watching a good game while it turns into a winter wonderland outside. Of course, that's assuming I don't have to wade out in the middle of the game to clean the snow off the dish. Since the storm isn't supposed to happen until late tonight, that's probably not going to be a problem.

Now, let's get ready for some Kings basketball!

GO KINGS!!!

BEAT LA!!

Lineups:

Kings - Udrih, Salmons, Garcia, Hawes and Miller

15-12 LAL

5;23 left

Time out and commercial break.

Miller will be at the line for the freebie after the break.

Andrew Bynum is arguably the most over-rated player I've ever seen. I am totally NOT impressed with him in any way, shape or form.

And the usual "I spy a celebrity" bonanza has already begun. Dyan Cannon is the first I've noticed. Oh wait. It appears as though Adam Sandler is sitting in the first row of seats behind the Kings assistant coaches.

:p

Miller at the stripe. Bonus in and back out. Odom in for Bynum.

15-12 LAL

Walton for two.

37.1 seconds left

Bobby Brown with a shake and bake inside for two.

30-24 LAL

Farmar fadeaway doesn't go; Jackson with the rebound, he kicks to Bobby Brown in the corner.

BROWN FOR THREE!!

30-27 LAL

That should be the end of the first quarter but the freaking game clock stopped before Brown's basket.

LAL was able to get down the court and get another bucket, but the officials are now calling for a monitor to look at the situation, which is a rule change from last year because of the playoff fiasco.

At this moment, the score says 32-27 LAL, but that last LAL bucket should not count IMHO.

The game clock right now is showing 6.1 seconds which is totally impossible as it said 8.7 seconds when Jackson snagged the rebound at the Laker end of the court and didn't move for the entire Kings possession. It didn't start again until the Laker inbounded the ball AFTER Brown's bucket.

Head official Greg Willard has called for his stopwatch. He's going to time the Kings possession and see how much time should have come off the clock. I really believe the two points will come off the scoreboard as the Lakers could not have gotten down the court and gotten off the shot in what time should have been left.

Okay, here comes the decision...

Oops. Nope. Not yet. They're looking at it yet again.

They're still talking about it. Greg Willard calling over Phil Jackson and Reggie Theus and explaining the situation.

???

They're saying there's still 0.8 seconds left. The Kings are charged for a foul that puts Ariza on the line in a +1 situation apparently. It's good.

33-27 LAL

End of the first quarter.

Hrm...

Sorry, but that's ********. Plain and simple...smelly and all that.

Kings ball to start the second quarter.

Jackson for long two from the corner.

Bynum with another horrible shot- half-hook that didn't have a chance. Jackson snags the rebound as he's falling oob and tips it to Brown.

Bynum called for foul on the other end, sending Brown to the line.

Makes first; and second.

35-31 LAL

10;16 left

Talk about a dead stadium. Lakers fans are pathetic.

Bynum with another miss; Moore with the rebound, has to battle for it and Odom able to tie it up for a jump ball.

Tip to LAL on a bad toss.

Bynum finally gets a lucky roll to fall.

37-31 LAL

Bobby Brown cuts around Bynum, who is charged with ANOTHER foul, his 4PF. Gasol in for Bynum.

Kings inbound.

Salmons jumper in and out; ball oob off LAL. Kings inbound.

Salmons drives inside, LAL defense totally collapses on him, ball forced oob. Still Kings ball.

9;10 left

Thompson for two from mid-range.

37-33 LAL

Sasha miss; Thompson rebound.

Moore almost loses the ball inside, Thompson goes for it. Sasha tries to steal it and they'll have another jump ball after the time out and commercial break.

This game is ours to win if we can just get a rhythm established. The home team does not look like they're that interested and, in fact, a couple of them look like they'd rather be at a club or something.

Jackson, Moore, Thompson, Brown and Salmons for the Kings

Jump ball - JT and Sasha. Tip to the Kings.

Brown pullup jumper for two.

37-35 LAL

8;22 left

Fisher to the line on a pretty iffy call on Brown. Kobe back in for Sasha.

Fisher makes first; and seocnd.

Brown, Garcia, Salmoins, Thompson and Hawes now for the Kings.

Ball oob. LAL to inbound with 3 on the shot clock.

Gasol miss; Garcia rebound.

Brown pullup three is short; Ariza on the run, wild pass but Fisher saves it. Over to Gasol, back to Fisher - long three misses and hits the shot clock. Kings ball.

Hand off to Hawes, who is called for offensive foul as he ran right over Fisher.

6;09 left

Kiss, kiss, hug, hug...

Kings to inbound. Miller back in for Kings, along with Udrih, Garcia, Salmons and Hawes.

Salmons inside off the glass for two more.

44-44

2;59 left

46-44 LAL

Salmons gets right by Kobe but then jumper doesn't fall; Gasol rebound.
