Kings Hope To Retain Songalia

Given my prediction that we would go after Shareef, and the fact we did try, and the fact I thought that was jsut flat out stupid unless we had a floowup move planned, I actually am oddly comforted that we missed our target.

...that is unless Antoine Walker becomes our desperation fallback.

Man Walker takes a lot of crap for not sucking as much as people make him out to. Truth is, if Boston didn't make that deal for Walker last season they wouldn't have even made the playoffs. In the RIGHT situation, this guy could prove all the naysayers wrong.

PG: Bibby
SG: Wells
SF: Peja
PF: 'Toine
C: Brad

Looks like a pretty damn good team to me. Even a contender. Of course Walker would have to tone it down a bit.

A lot of people don't like the idea of aquiring say, Walker and Blount, but I think both those players are good choices. Blount would be a great backup for Brad even if his contract sucks.

though i loathe walker.... what happens to thomas? because isnt walker considering the knicks for mle? so i'd be guessing we'd offer the same.... which would mean that thomas is still on the team....

The Knicks need a PF, they can definitely take Walker, and would take him. I personally would hope they do, as I put others ahead of him right now.

Thank you someone that actually sees it as it is rather than ridiculing a player just for the sake of it.

Walker is no saviour but he is still better than what we have on our roster. Walker would be a definite upgrade at PF on what we have. You can argue that he is not the "type" we need but you can't say he wouldn't be an upgrade on what we already have and considerable upgrade at that.

As for Songaila, I am glad we want to keep him. He is a good, solid bencher. He will not be a starter. He will come off the bench for us and provide us with what he already gave us in the last 2 years.

Kenny miight be better but not a hell of a lot better and Darius would be better value for money than Thomas.
