I wasn't sure where to put this so I've stuck it down here in the Lounge for now. I was thinking that it would be cool to have a place on the board somewhere for fans to introduce themselves, or reintroduce themselves, and share a little about why they're Kings fans, where they live, what they're favorite Kings moments are, etc. This is such a unique fanbase. I love to hear about the fans that live in other countries, for example, that have never been to a Kings game, and in some case maybe have never even seen a complete game on TV. This rebirth of the franchise is as much about the fans as it is about KJ and the new owners. I can't wait to hear from new fans in India who want to be part of this online community, or even Kings fans of old who got burned out on all of the off the court drama but are now inspired to come back and be a part of this.

Where on this forum is an appropriate place for such posts? Would having a seperate sub-forum for fan "6th Man" stories be out of the question?

There was a thread , Im sure VF or one of the mods can dig it up, that touched on this very same thing...

We do have a roll call thread going in the Kings Rap forum right now. It's got over 150 posts from fans old and new, young and old, from all over the world.

I was searching but couldn't find one. The problem with individual threads are that they get buried and dissapear so easily. But I'm also aware that "introduce yourself" or "newbie" threads can be cheesy. Just wanted to put the suggestion out there. I have a feeling we'll be seeing a lot of fans come back into the fold over the comings months.
